A very generous top and sides haircut for this mixed native hedge on a laneside property in Upton St Leonards ✂️

Happy...(oh it's raining) Thursday ☔

Great weather for plants and lawns, and the water birds too 🦆

✅ Complete garden clearance and new picket fence in Barton
✅ New fence reinstated in Abbeymead
✅ Reclaimed fossil mint sandstone patio laid in Linden
✅ Various evergreen shrubs planted in Barnwood
✅ Trees reduced, shrubs removed and oak sleeper raised planters built in Longlevens
✅ Conifer tree felled in Upton St Leonards
✅ Car garage built (at my own house)

The softwood sleeper wall in this Abbeydale garden was on its last legs, despite only being built in 2019. Unfortunately, the previous installer used timber posts as supports behind the wall, which ultimately was its downfall 😔

In its place, now stands an Oak sleeper wall, with concrete spurs behind, firmly cemented in over two foot into the ground 💪🏻

A new close board panel fence and gate now secures the homeowners garden better than ever, fitted with a double locking mechanism for peace of mind 👌🏻

Other works also included a heavy cut back of the Conifer hedge and Eucalyptus tree and re-prep of the artificial grass area due to multiple sunken areas throughout. Composite framework battens were installed to fix the grass to as a longer lasting alternative to wood.

Another happy set of customers 😁

My first er****on of an aluminium post and composite panel fence finished today in Abbeymead 🤺

I was a little dubious at first, having installed many conventional fences over the years, but this is such a durable and modern alternative. Available in assorted colours, these clients went with a graphite look👌🏻

Built to last, as always 👍🏻

A sturdy timber sleeper wall built and completed last week in Saintbridge ⚒️

The client had some trees removed from the bank at the back of the garden which exposed an unsightly mixture of weeds, roots and lots of rubbish (potentially blown through from the school behind) 🤷🏻‍♂️

The sleepers were all screwed together from the ground up using 10cm hidden fixings and 7 four foot long concrete spurs were intermediately spaced behind the wall, with 18cm long coach screws going through the spurs and into the timber, and then concreted over two foot into the ground💪🏻

The back of the wall was lined with a black plastic membrane to create a barrier between the soil and the timber, which makes for a longer life span of the wood 👌🏻

Screened top soil was filled to the top, ready for planting evergreen climbers to mask the less aesthetically pleasing boundary fence 🌱🪻

Finally, a 6" x 1" timber capping was fixed all the way across the top of the wall for protection against the Great British elements ☔🌨️🌞
