👋 I’m Jayden, the assistant general works manager and I’m currently training as an apprentice surveyor and estimator here at Kilbury, I’ve been on the team almost a year and have loved every second whether I’m learning from the people around me or working alone.

Over the past year I have managed labour, surveyed, estimated, and won several jobs with the help of Dean in general works. I also help out with other aspects of the business as much as possible like site management or even on site working.

Outside of Kilbury I enjoy playing football, I play for Upton St Leonards FC in Stroud Division and Moggers FC in the Oxstalls Premier League. I also enjoy weightlifting in the gym which I try to go to as often as possible. Finally, I love swimming, It’s my favourite form of exercise.

Making space for sustainable drainage... 🌿

We're pleased to share the successful installation of a new rain garden, designed to help manage surface water runoff while enhancing the local environment.

Rain gardens are a simple yet effective nature-based solution, capturing and filtering rainwater before it enters the drainage network. By slowing the flow of water, they help reduce flood risk, improve water quality, and create valuable habitats for wildlife.

This project demonstrates how sustainable infrastructure can deliver both environmental and community benefits, contributing to more resilient and greener spaces.

Pre-contract meeting and site visit with Paige completed — all in one go... 🏦

Starting soon at Ebley House:

We’re excited to begin work on this impressive project at Ebley House — a large 19th-century stone house west of Stroud, listed Grade II since 1974.

The proposed works include:

• Removal of the existing floor and installation of a new structural concrete slab with an insulated floor build-up
• Construction of a new steel structure featuring a fully glazed façade and insulated zinc roof
• Full refurbishment of the existing rear storeroom and retaining wall, including new wall linings and an insulated zinc roof with rooflights
• Refurbishment of the first-floor area to the rear of the conservatory, incorporating structural alterations where required

Drawing on the expertise of our Conservation team, specialist stonework and tanking elements will be delivered with support from across the wider team.

A fantastic heritage project with modern interventions — and a strong way to kick off Q2. 🚀

Door repair! 🚪⚒️

We took great care in removing the rotting wood of the weathering bar on this wooden door, so as not to damage the door. We then replaced the weathering bar with a brand new exact replica of the rotten sill. The client was over the moon with the professional and slick finish, while being in-keeping with the door's original features!

A tenant experienced a leak in the front bedroom due to improperly installed gable end cladding.

To resolve this, we stripped away the faulty cladding, installed a new breathable membrane for better moisture management, and re-cladded with cedar sections for durability and an aesthetic finish! 🛠️

This ensures long-lasting protection against leaks and enhances the property's appearance.
