Another superb finish by the team at Above & Beyond Property Care Ltd 🔥

We’ve recently completed this full roof transformation for a lovely lady called Jackie and her local organisation & lovely team of volunteers in Huntley, Gloucester — and what a difference it’s made!

The existing roof was showing its age, with moss-covered fibre cement slates and failing materials throughout. We stripped everything back and carried out a full upgrade, including:

✔️ Removal of old, worn felt
✔️ Installation of a modern breathable membrane
✔️ Replacement of all rotten battens with new treated timber battens
✔️ Full re-slate using high-quality Spanish slate

This recent project completed by the Above & Beyond Property Care Ltd team involved a full exterior restoration and protective render transformation to bring this older cottage back to life.

The original property exterior had become heavily weathered and discoloured over time, with visible staining, algae growth, blown render sections, and general ageing across the façade. The cottage had lost its curb appeal and required extensive preparation before any finishing works could begin.

Works carried out included:

* Full inspection of the external render system
* Removal and repair of all damaged and hollow Sand & cement render areas
* Crack repairs and surface preparation throughout
* Thorough exterior cleaning treatment to remove dirt, algae, and organic staining
* Priming and stabilising of the existing render surface
* Application of a high-quality textured protective coating system in a modern charcoal finish
* Careful masking and protection of windows, pathways, and surrounding areas during works
* Detailed finishing around window reveals, sills, and roofline for a clean modern appearance

The transformation has completely modernised the cottage while still maintaining its character. The new textured lime render finish not only improves the visual appearance dramatically but also provides long-term weather protection, improved durability, and reduced maintenance moving forward.

The darker contemporary colour has given the property a sharp modern look, creating a huge contrast from the tired and faded original exterior. ✨🧱Another tidy job completed by Above & Beyond Property Care Ltd team 👌🧱✨

We were instructed by an insurance company to carry out repairs to a damaged front boundary wall in Bristol following a vehicle impact.

As you can see in the before image, the wall had been heavily struck, causing structural failure and leaving loose, unsafe brickwork. Our team attended site, made the area safe, and carefully dismantled the damaged section down to a solid base.

We then rebuilt the wall using new facing bricks to closely match the existing property, ensuring proper bonding, alignment, and long-term strength. The pillar was also reinstated with a new concrete coping stone, giving a clean and durable finish.

The result is a fully restored boundary that not only looks the part but is built to last—bringing the property back to its original condition for the homeowner and insurer.
