Excavation Works / Archaeologist πβ
New Storm water drainage installation works are taking place this week in Gloucester city centre.
As many of you will know, Gloucester has a rich Roman history, so an archaeologist is on site throughout all excavation works to ensure that anything of archaeological significance is identified and recorded.
Today, a section of wall was uncovered, Expected to be Victorian, It was carefully examined, mapped, photographed, and documented before works continued.
We love jobs like this, being able to play a small part in uncovering Gloucesterβs fascinating past is a real privilege. ππ»ππ»
