It still makes me sad that in 2026, some industries remain so male dominated.

Construction: 85% male. Aviation — pilots specifically: over 95% male. IT: roughly three-quarters male.

Things are improving. More women are pushing into engineering. Women's sport is having a moment. But there's still a long way to go.

I'm here for every girl and woman who wants to do a job that's "always" been male dominated. I spent years working in construction, engineering and IT — one of the few women in the room, more often than not.
