🔨🚪 7 NEW DOORS FITTED IN GARROWHILL! 🚪🔨

Another cracking job completed yesterday! 😍💪🏻

We fitted 7 primed 1930s-style internal doors, finished off with matt black k**b handles, latches and hinges! 🖤👌🏻

Now, this property is around 100 years old, so fitting into frames that have been standing for a century was never going to be plain sailing! 🤣🔨

And trust us, they definitely put us to the test! 😅

But with plenty of patience, a few adjustments and some good old-fashioned joinery skills, we made it happen! 😉💪🏻

The finished look is absolutely cracking! 😍 The traditional style complements the character of the house perfectly, while the matt black ironmongery adds a smart, modern touch! 🏡🖤

Good afternoon guys

Wee update post for everyone!!

One of my customers in the Hogganfield area had their front door tried last night around 12.20am.

The locking mechanism has failed but thankfully they had the door chain on and was enough to stop the person from gaining entry, we have since been and had a look at the issue and is now in the hands of the locksmith who will replace the mechanism and make the door safe again🤝🏻

Please make sure you all stay vigilant and check your doors and windows at night are closed and locking properly so these scumbags don't get into anyone's house. If your not sure and need anything checked then don't hesitate to get in touch with us👌🏻

STAY SAFE, STAY VIGILANT!!

Share far and wide so people know!!!

Thanks guys

Forgot to post this one from Tuesday.

We had the pleasure again of working in the office of a fantastic Glasgow charity, Healing for the Heart 🤝🏻

They do incredible work supporting people through counselling and mental health challenges. If you or someone you know is struggling, it’s definitely worth checking them out ❤️

We were asked to remove shelving unit and fit 12 acoustic panels across 3 meeting rooms to help reduce noise and keep conversations private.

These panels make a huge difference in busy environments—cutting down echo, improving sound quality, and creating a more comfortable, confidential space.

As a bonus, they also add a clean, modern feature wall to each room 🧱

If you're dealing with noise issues in your home, office, or workspace, acoustic panels are a simple and effective solution that look great too.

🏡🔨 OUR HOUSE RENOVATION – UPDATE! 🔨🏡

Well, we're now 3½ weeks into our house renovation and we're delighted to say that the decorating has officially started! 🎨🥳

It's been a busy few weeks of ripping things out, dust, mess, long days and plenty of hard graft, but we're finally starting to see the house come back together! 💪🏻🏡

So here's where we're at so far... 👇🏻

🛏️ KIDS' BEDROOMS 👧🏻👶🏻

Both bedrooms are now decorated, flooring is down and skirting boards are fitted! ✅

Still to do:
🔹 New doors
🔹 New lights
🔹 Blinds & curtains
🔹 Beds & furniture
🔹 All the wee finishing touches!

Not far away from having two lovely bedrooms ready for Aria and Leo! ❤️💙

🍽️ KITCHEN

The wallpapering is now complete and it's looking brilliant! 😍

Just a few jobs left:
🔹 Flooring to go down
🔹 Skirting boards to fit
🔹 Radiator to go back on

Then that's another room we can tick off the list! ✅

🛋️ LIVING ROOM

The ceiling has now had its first coat of paint! 🎨

Still plenty to get through in here:
🔹 Final coats on the ceiling
🔹 Walls to be painted
🔹 New flooring
🔹 TV feature wall
🔹 Boxing in the electrical meter

This is one room I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into and seeing the finished result! 👌🏻🔥

We're slowly but surely getting there and I actually think we've done pretty well considering we're only 3½ weeks in and already at the decorating stage! 🤣💪🏻

❤️ NOW FOR A WELL-DESERVED SHOUT-OUT TO THE WIFE! ❤️

I need to give Amy a massive bit of credit because she's been absolutely smashing the painting and wallpapering! 👏🏻🎨

While I've been busy with all the joinery and other jobs, she's been cracking on with the decorating and what a difference she's making! 🥰

Couldn't do it without her! ❤️

We're definitely making a good team… although I'm sure she'll tell you she's doing all the hard work! 🤣🤣❤️

It's definitely not easy trying to renovate your own house while juggling work, family life and two wee ones, but we're getting there one room at a time! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🏡

There's still plenty of work ahead, plenty of late nights and no doubt a few more headaches along the way 🤣🔨 but we know it'll all be worth it when we're sitting in our finished family home! ❤️

📸🎥 We'll keep sharing updates, photos and videos as we go, so you can all follow the transformation from start to finish!

And don't worry, Ballantyne Joinery is still very much open for business! 🔨💪🏻 We're still taking on customers' jobs in between our own renovation, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you're needing any work done!

Thanks to everyone who's been following along so far! 🙌🏻

Now, back to the never-ending to-do list! 🤣📝

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! 🥰👩‍❤️‍👨🖌️🔨

❤️💙 OUR HOUSE. OUR HARD WORK. OUR FAMILY HOME. ❤️💙
