🩶 A touch of elegance — bedroom feature wall in Burnside!

Lovely wee job this one. We were in a bedroom in Burnside hanging a feature wall in a gorgeous damask pattern in soft grey tones.

Damask never really goes out of style, and in grey it feels fresh and modern rather than old-fashioned. Pattern matched right through, neat seams, clean edges — the detail is what makes a papered wall look properly professional.

Really smart result and a lovely finishing touch to the room. ✨

🏡 Roofline and porch brought back to life — Eastfield!

Cracking job finished this week in Eastfield. The wood fascia, soffits, bargeboards and front porch were all sanded back, dry rot treated where needed, primed and filled before two full top coats went on — all in the Zinsser system from primer through to satin white finish.

The window ledges were picked out in Zinsser Anthracite, which gives a really sharp contrast against the white, and the lead flashing above the porch was repainted using a specialist polyurethane coating to keep it properly protected.

Jobs like this are as much about protection as they are about looks. Treat the rot, prep it right, use the right system — and you've got a roofline that'll stand up to the Scottish weather for years.

🌿 A proper showstopper — hall, stairs & landing in Bathgate!

This one is one of those jobs you just don't want to leave. A full hall, stairs and landing in Bathgate — and what a result.

The wood wall panelling was fully prepped and painted in a beautiful sage green satin, with matching leaf and plant wallpaper hung on the walls above — the two just complement each other perfectly. Ceilings in matt white, and all the skirtings, facings and doors finished in crisp white gloss to frame the whole thing.

Every surface — walls, wood and panelling — was fully prepped before anything went on. That's what gives a job like this its quality.

A genuinely gorgeous scheme. Really proud of this one. 🌿🤍

Some jobs are all about the detail. 🖤

This week took us to Dunblane for a Juliette balcony — metal railings and a timber frame that had weathered a few too many winters. Stripped back, prepped properly, and finished in deep black: Hammerite on the ironwork, Bedec matt on the frame.

The difference is in the prep. Anyone can slap a coat of paint on rusty railings — it'll look fine for a month and then bubble and flake right back. Do it properly and it lasts for years. That's the bit you're paying for. ✨
