Yesterday we installed a new boiler in Penilee to replace a very poorly installed one which had been condemned due to the flue being dangerous. The flue was installed with incorrect parts, running the wrong way, no supports and had also corroded right through.

One of todays jobs highlights the importance of having your boiler serviced regularly. Our customer was moving house and had contacted us to inspect the heating system in their new home.

Unfortunately it hadn’t been properly maintained and had various issues. The main issue was while carrying out our safety checks we noticed the boiler was leaking carbon monoxide internally. This was due to seals within the boiler never being replaced.

Thankfully we carry these parts as van stock and the boiler was fully serviced and made safe on the one visit meaning our customer can now enjoy their new home 🏠
