👀The part of a landscaping project you don't normally see.👀
It's easy to judge a driveway by the paving you can see when the job is finished.
But much of the work that determines how well it performs happens long before the first block is laid💪
On our recent Giffnock project, the existing surfaces were stripped out and the area excavated before we moved onto the construction underneath the finished driveway.
🦺Geotextile separation, properly placed and compacted sub-base, levels, drainage and edge restraints all form part of building the finished surface correctly.
These aren't usually the photographs that get the most attention on social media.
But they're some of the ones we're most interested in.
