Arc-Tech (Scotland) is proud to have contributed to Paisley Central Library, which has been shortlisted for the RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award - one of the country’s top architectural prizes.

The transformation of the former High Street premises into a modern community library and learning hub demonstrates the positive impact of thoughtful design, restoration and collaboration.

Working on behalf of CCG Scotland Ltd and hub West Scotland for Renfrewshire Council, our team played a key role in its delivery through the installation of a turnkey M&E services solution.

Congratulations to all project partners involved, and best of luck to Collective Architecture ahead of the final award decision.

Glasgow City Council's Housing Convenor, Councillor Ruairi Kelly, visited the former Bellgrove Hotel earlier this month.

Located in the East End in the city's Gallowgate, the project - delivered through the Transforming Communties:Glasgow (TC:G) partnership - comprised the delivery of 70 mid-market rent homes for Lowther, of Wheatley Group, including 56 new build homes and a further 14 flats that have transformed the hotel itself, with its distinctive 1930s Art Moderne style architecture preserved.

Tenants began moving in from June this year, with the final residents set occupy the landmark building this month.

We were delighted to be involved in such an important project for Glasgow, working on behalf of CCG Scotland Ltd to install vital systems that will support tenants' long-term safety in the years ahead.

Bellgrove is one of many residential developments Arc-Tech (Scotland) is supporting across the Central Belt, and we are delighted to play our part in delivering high-quality affordable homes to meet local need in Glasgow.

Everyone at Arc-Tech (Scotland) was delighted to hear of the recent milestone achieved at Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 'Hill House' in Helensburgh, where the 122-year-old building's original brickwork has been exposed for the very first time.

A Portland cement render was applied to the building in 1904, under Mackintosh's instruction, but it ended up soaked by the driving rain of Scotland's west coast, trapping water within the walls which left the structure of the house and its bespoke interior decoration damaged by water pe*******on.

This recent milestone in the building's story has been achieved as a result of the protective steel structure that surrounds it and protects it from the elements - a structure in which Arc-Tech (Scotland) had a small hand in delivering, working on behalf of Robertson Group for National Trust for Scotland.

Like many of you, no doubt, we look forward to seeing how the careful restoration work advances before the big reveal in 2028.
