HebHomes ARCHITECT DESIGNED KIT HOUSES - DELIVERED AND ERECTED Please register or contact us directly for more information.

Inspired by traditional rural architecture, our award-winning architects at Dualchas Building Design have carefully considered scale, layout and materials, ensuring that our houses are widely welcomed by planning authorities. Open-plan living, high volumes, large areas of glazing to exploit the views - combined with immaculate detailing - give the houses a remarkably bright, spacious and contemporary feel, while maintaining a perfect form for our landscapes. As well as supplying a whole-house kit system in SIP or timber frame, our team of specialists can take you right through the whole build process - from choosing a design, kitchen and bathroom, to handing over of the keys of your completed house.

A Highland home that takes its lead from the crofts around it.

At Achrimsdale, near Brora, this LH102PD, or "The Silver Barn" as christened by owner Maddie , draws on the simple forms of traditional houses and agricultural buildings. Its timber cladding is treated to weather to silver-grey, bringing it closer in colour to the roof and windows.

Inside, the double-height living space gives a generous sense of space, with large, glazed doors opening towards the fields. Oak, off-white and earthy colours create a warm, personal interior, shaped around the people who call it home.

A woodland setting, a kitchen made for gathering, and doors that open straight onto the garden.

This HebHomes family home in West Linton adapts our LH102PD Longhouse with an extra bedroom and a kitchen layout tailored to its owners.

Blue-green cabinetry brings colour to the heart of the house, while timber finishes and views of the trees give the rooms a warm, peaceful feel. Outside, naturally weathering cladding helps the house settle into its surroundings.

A new home in the Welsh landscape.

Rob and Andrea Callaghan wanted a contemporary home on a remote site within a Welsh National Park, where the planners were keen to see a design that reflected the local vernacular.

The solution was a simple longhouse form based on our LH502PD.2, with vertical timber cladding and a standing seam roof, designed to sit comfortably within the surrounding landscape.

Inside, the standard layout was adapted around how Rob and Andrea wanted to live. As keen cooks and hosts, they wanted the kitchen to be at the heart of the house, so we extended it into the entrance volume to create space for a generous island, with rooflights bringing natural light into the centre of the plan. Bespoke shelving was also incorporated to give their extensive collection of books a proper place within the home.

Building in such a remote location brought its own challenges, from finding local contractors to working out the logistics of delivering the SIP kit to site. With careful planning, it all came together.

“I’d never seen something built at such speed. It went without a hitch.”

Chris and Abbie chose HebHomes to create a new home alongside their wh**ky distillery in North Yorkshire, drawn to the simple agricultural form and flexibility of the design.

The timber frame was manufactured off-site in Scotland and erected in just three days, before Chris and Abbie took on much of the remaining build themselves.

The result is a simple, warm and energy-efficient family home that they can grow into.

Their self-build story is featured in the latest issue of Build It magazine.

A new HebHome for Ireland.

Following the introduction of new planning exemptions in Ireland for detached homes of up to 45m² in the rear gardens of existing houses, we have adapted a selection of our Airigh designs specifically for the Irish market.

Designed by Dualchas Architects, the Airigh is a compact, permanent home rather than a garden cabin.

The new layouts make the most of the permitted floor area, with carefully considered living, sleeping, kitchen and bathroom spaces and plenty of natural light.

The homes use a high-performance SIP construction system, providing excellent insulation, airtightness and rapid on-site assembly.

They could provide an ideal independent home for an elderly parent, adult child or long-term tenant, subject to meeting the requirements of the new exemption.

The new Irish designs are now available as part of our Airigh Range.

Designed around the view.

This LH702PD overlooks Gairloch Bay, so we incorporated corner glazing into the living area to create seamless, uninterrupted views across one of Scotland's most glorious coastal landscapes.

The bliss of a cold, wet Highland summer, and as beautiful as ever.

Finding the right plot is one of the biggest steps in building a new home. It’s not just about the location, views and price — there’s a lot more to consider.

Does the site have planning permission? Are services available? What about access, ground conditions and drainage?

Our guide covers the key things to look out for when buying a plot, including potential pitfalls and opportunities.

Simple form, sharp finishes and careful detailing.

A generous larch deck sits in front of a wall of glass, accessed directly from both the ground floor bedroom and the open-plan living area.

The HebHomes architects carefully detailed the deck to sit level with the internal floor finish, creating the impression that the interior extends out into the landscape.
