⚡🔋 SERIOUS ENERGY STORAGE INSTALLED TODAY IN PORT GLASGOW! ☀️🏡

The NGA team completed this impressive Sigenergy Solar PV, Battery Storage & Whole-Home Backup system today in Port Glasgow — and this one packs some serious capacity!

⚡ System Installed:

☀️ 16 × 465W Solar Panels — giving a 7.44kWp Solar PV array
⚡ 8kW Sigenergy Inverter
🔋 5 × 6.02kWh Sigenergy Batteries
🔋 30.1kWh total battery storage
🏡 Sigen Gateway for full whole-home backup
📱 Intelligent monitoring & energy management

With over 30kWh of battery storage, this system gives the homeowner huge flexibility over how and when they use their energy.

During the day, the solar array can power the property while excess generation charges the batteries. That stored energy can then be used later in the evening and overnight, dramatically reducing reliance on expensive grid electricity.

And paired with a suitable smart energy tariff, the possibilities get even better:

🌙 Charge the batteries during cheaper off-peak periods when required
☀️ Maximise the use of solar generation
⚡ Avoid importing electricity during expensive peak periods
💷 Take advantage of export tariffs where available
🏡 Keep the property powered during a grid outage with whole-home backup

This isn’t simply a solar installation — it’s a complete home energy management system, designed to give the customer greater control, resilience and energy independence.

If you’re considering Solar PV, Battery Storage or Whole-Home Backup, we can design a system specifically around your property and energy usage.

🔋☀️ GIVING A 15-YEAR-OLD SOLAR SYSTEM A NEW LEASE OF LIFE IN NEWTON MEARNS! 🤩

Another AC-coupled battery storage system installed by the NGA team — and a great example of why having an older Solar PV system doesn’t mean you’re missing out on modern energy storage.

This property already has a Solar PV system that’s been generating for around 15 years and continues to benefit from the historic Feed-in Tariff (FIT).

Rather than interfere with the existing system, we’ve installed a new battery solution to work alongside it and monitor its generation.

⚡ 5kW FoxESS Hybrid Inverter
🔋 2 × FoxESS EP12 Batteries
🔋 23.04kWh combined usable battery storage
☀️ Monitoring of the existing FIT Solar PV system
📱 Smart app monitoring & energy management
🚀 Future-proofed for additional Solar PV

And this system isn’t just about storing excess solar.

Paired with the right smart electricity tariff, the homeowner can take advantage of energy prices throughout the day:

🌙 Charge cheaply from the grid during off-peak periods when required
☀️ Store excess solar rather than sending it straight back to the grid
🏡 Use stored energy when electricity prices are higher
💷 Export energy back to the grid during peak periods where the tariff allows, helping maximise the value of the system

We’ve also future-proofed the installation so that additional solar panels can be added to the garage in the future, giving the customer the opportunity to increase generation even further and move closer towards genuine energy independence.

Already have solar?

Even if your panels were installed 10, 15 or more years ago, modern battery storage could completely change how you use the energy they generate — without necessarily altering your existing FIT system.

🔋☀️ BATTERY STORAGE INSTALLATION | KINROSS

Another battery storage upgrade completed by the NGA team — this time in Kinross.

The customer already had an existing 14-panel Solar PV system benefiting from the historic Feed-in Tariff (FIT) and wanted to make better use of the energy being generated, without interfering with their existing FIT installation.

We designed a battery storage system to work alongside the existing solar, installing:

⚡ 5kW FoxESS Inverter
🔋 FoxESS EP12 Battery Storage
☀️ Integrated monitoring of the existing 14-panel solar array
📱 Smart monitoring & control

The new system allows excess solar generation to be captured and stored in the battery rather than unnecessarily importing energy from the grid later in the day.

The result? The customer can now keep more of their own solar energy in the home, use it when they actually need it and reduce their reliance on grid electricity — all while leaving their existing FIT solar installation intact.

Already have an older Solar PV system?

You don’t necessarily need to replace it to benefit from modern battery storage. We can assess your existing installation and design a battery system to work alongside it.

☀️🔋 TESLA POWERWALL INSTALLATION | EAST KILBRIDE ⚡🏡

A slightly different renewable energy project completed by the NGA team in East Kilbride!

Our client had recently moved into a property with an existing Solar PV system benefiting from the historic Feed-in Tariff (FIT). Understandably, they wanted to leave the existing solar installation untouched while finding a way to make much better use of the energy it generates.

The solution? Serious battery storage. 🔋

We installed:

⚡ Tesla Powerwall 3
🔋 Tesla Expansion Battery
🏡 Tesla Gateway with whole-home backup
📊 Monitoring integrated with the property’s existing Solar PV system

The system has been configured to monitor the existing solar generation, allowing surplus energy that would otherwise be exported to the grid to be captured and stored in the Tesla batteries instead.

That stored energy can then be used later in the day or overnight, helping the homeowner:

☀️ Make better use of their existing solar generation
🔋 Store excess energy for when it’s actually needed
📉 Reduce reliance on grid electricity
🏡 Keep more of their generated energy within the home
⚡ Benefit from whole-home backup during a grid failure

It’s a great example of how battery storage doesn’t necessarily mean replacing or altering an existing solar installation. The right system can be designed around what’s already there.

Already have solar but feel like you’re sending too much of your energy back to the grid? Or considering adding battery storage and backup power to your home?
