Mulberry Kitchen Design

When Carolann, Mhairi & Dora 🐶 came to us last year, they had a clear idea of the kitchen and the standard they wanted.

They’d just had a stunning bathroom completed by another company, and wanted their new kitchen to match that same high standard. We hope we’ve delivered ❤️

Their custom-built kitchen combines wood-grain wall units with taupe gloss at the bottom and beautiful Silestone worksurfaces. A metal alloy splashback and LED strip lighting finish the look, with new flooring throughout the downstairs bringing everything together.

And one of their favourite additions? Their Quooker tap, providing hot, cold and filtered water.

Carolann and Mhairi, thank you for trusting us with your home. We hope you guys will love this kitchen for years to come

We recently completed this lovely kitchen for Lorna and Iain MacLeod from Hairmyres, and it was another great project to be involved in.

This was a fairly big transformation for Mulberry yet again, with two walls removed to open the kitchen up and make the whole space feel much brighter, larger and better suited to busy family life.

Lorna and Iain chose our beautiful paint-to-order five-piece timber Shaker door in Ash, finished in Mussel. It gives the kitchen a really warm, timeless look and works perfectly with the light Silestone worktops and full-height splashbacks.

We also fitted Bosch Series 8 appliances, recessed LED under-cabinet lighting, carefully selected handles and new LVT flooring throughout the full downstairs area, helping everything flow together properly.

The end result is a kitchen that feels calm, spacious and practical, but still has plenty of character.

A lot of work went into this one behind the scenes, but seeing the finished space and how much better it works for the family makes it all worthwhile.

Thanks again to Lorna and Iain for choosing Mulberry Kitchen Design.

They kindly have left us a fantastic review below. Please have a read.

Thanks for reading Stevie!!

We would like to say a big “thank you” to Stephen at Mulberry Kitchen Design for creating our new dream kitchen.
We had been deliberating for nearly 2 years about replacing our existing tired kitchen , and had looked at various companies before Stephen visited.
Because a new kitchen is such a big financial investment, we wanted to make sure that our new kitchen would meet our needs.
We knew when Stephen visited us initially, that he was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about kitchens. By listening to our requirements, he gained our trust, and he was able to design our new bespoke kitchen. Stephen is very patient as it required a couple of further visits to finalise our new kitchen design. Stephen was able to suggest different flooring options, quartz finishes, and kitchen units, all with samples that he brought for us to look at before we made our final decisions. Stephen also suggested different options for the kitchen appliances which we wanted integrated into the final design.
Once everything was finalised and ordered, Stephen and his team were able to start the installation a month later.
The installation was comprehensive, as we had part of a wall taken away to make our kitchen more open, and all the trades from plasterers, electrician, flooring and painter together with Stephen’s install all came together without a hitch.
Thanks to Stephen’s planning, installation took place as promised without any problems.
To say that we were delighted with the finished installation is an understatement !
Our new kitchen is above and beyond what we dreamed of, and we are absolutely delighted with Stephen’s work.
As a result, we would have no hesitation recommending Stephen and Mulberry Kitchen Design to install your new kitchen .

🏡 STUNNING STEWARTFIELD TRANSFORMATION 🏡

When Wanda & Andrew Denholm first contacted Mulberry Kitchen Design, it wasn't after seeing an advert or a social media post.

It was after seeing two neighbouring kitchens we had completed in Stewartfield.

Both of those projects involved major structural alterations, including load-bearing walls being removed, full rip-outs and complete kitchen renovations. Seeing the quality of our work first-hand gave Wanda and Andrew the confidence to trust us with their own home.

From the very beginning, Wanda had a clear vision for what she wanted to achieve. The existing kitchen and sunroom felt separated, and the goal was to create one stunning open-plan space where the family could cook, dine and relax together.

To make that happen, we removed a substantial section of the gable wall to open the kitchen into the sunroom. To date, this is probably the largest structural alteration Mulberry Kitchen Design has undertaken and certainly one of the biggest projects we have completed overall.

The finished kitchen is packed with premium features and thoughtful design details throughout.

At the heart of the room sits a stunning Rangemaster range cooker, creating a real focal point and giving the kitchen that timeless country kitchen feel. Surrounding it are beautiful quartz worktops with full-height quartz splashbacks, providing a luxurious finish while also being incredibly practical and easy to maintain.

Wanda wanted a kitchen that looked beautiful but worked just as hard as it looked. To achieve this, we incorporated a Quooker boiling water tap, an American-style fridge freezer with filtered water and a handy quick-access drinks door, meaning everyday essentials are always within easy reach.

Storage was a huge part of the design. The kitchen features Kesseböhmer chrome solid-base baskets, making excellent use of corner and lower cabinet space, while a Blum Legrabox graphite bin system keeps waste and recycling neatly hidden away.

One of our favourite features is the bespoke bi-fold breakfast cupboard. Behind the doors is a fully functional preparation area complete with sockets, integrated microwave, storage and workspace. When not in use, everything can simply be closed away, keeping the worktops clear and clutter-free.

At the far end of the kitchen, we installed a tall pantry cupboard complete with integrated LED lighting that automatically illuminates when the doors are opened, creating both a practical storage solution and a real wow factor.

To complete the transformation, we fitted a w**e cooler, stylish feature radiators and finished with Quick-Step flooring.

One of our favourite features has to be the flooring. We laid approximately 75m² of herringbone LVT, which completely transformed the feel of the space and tied everything together beautifully.

This project involved months of planning, design meetings, structural calculations and attention to detail to ensure everything was absolutely perfect.

And we can't finish this post without mentioning Maybole the Cocker Spaniel. 🐶

When we first started planning this project, Maybole was just a tiny puppy. By the time the kitchen was complete, she had grown into quite the young lady. That's a good indication of just how much care, planning and preparation went into creating this incredible space.

A huge thank you to Wanda & Andrew for putting their trust in Mulberry Kitchen Design.

We genuinely believe this is one of the finest kitchens we have ever completed.

What do you think of the finished result?

A Stunning Transformation in Hampden

Another recommendation project completed for the team — this time for Iain & Lauren Geddes, who came to us after another recommendation for Donald & Annabelle, whose kitchen and garage conversion we previously completed.

Set within a first-floor tenement in Hampden, this was a more complex installation. Older properties always bring their challenges — particularly working with traditional lath and plaster walls — but it’s exactly the kind of project we pride ourselves on delivering.

We transformed a dark, tired kitchen into a bright, contemporary space with a clean, refined finish.

The design centred around our lacquered taupe gloss doors, beautifully complemented by concrete Silestone worktops, creating a soft yet modern contrast.

Subtle detailing made all the difference — LED strip lighting beneath both the wall units and work surfaces adds depth and warmth, especially in the evening.

Finished with:
• Neff appliances
• Blum composite sink with stainless steel tap
• Aluminium metallic splashbacks
• New flooring throughout
• Tall feature radiator

The result is a space that feels effortless, modern, and built to last.

Projects like this are what Mulberry Kitchen Design is all about — thoughtful design, quality materials, and a finish that speaks for itself.

The customer kindly wrote us this great review.

Our close friends, Donald and Annabelle, had a stunning kitchen designed and fitted by Mulberry. They could not speak highly enough of Stephen and his fantastic team.
We have waited 20years to upgrade our kitchen and the thought was very daunting. We have a large kitchen in a big tenement flat with a few weird angles and some other obstacles. Stephen spent a lot of time with us finding solutions to the challenges we faced, accommodating everything we wanted, as well as us helping narrow down a really sleek and sophisticated finish from his extensive range.
Stephen and his team were an absolute joy to have around. All professional and meticulous. They have the process of working together down to a fine art. The end result is a dream come true for us.
We cannot recommend Mulberry Kitchens highly enough on every front from choice, communication and ex*****on.
Every time we open the kitchen door, it’s like stepping into a showroom. We have to pinch ourselves that it’s actually ours.
Thank you
Iain and Lauren
