🐝 The Life Cycle of a Honey Bee
A honey bee’s life is short but incredibly busy:
Egg → Laid by the queen in a honeycomb cell
Larva → Fed royal jelly (future queens) or honey/pollen (workers)
Pupa → The bee develops inside a sealed cell
Adult → Worker, drone, or queen emerges ready to take on its role
From egg to adult takes just 21 days for a worker bee. Queens live the longest, while drones and workers only last weeks to months. Every bee plays a vital part in keeping the colony alive.
Please note we want to leave bees alone if we can. They are not protected but they are endangered and very important for the ecosystem.
