Fleming were pleased to attend the official opening of St Sophia’s Primary School in Galston - the UK’s first EnerPHit certified school.

The project was officially opened last week by Màiri McAllan MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Education, Culture and Gaelic, alongside long-serving school community member Margaret McVie.

Representing Fleming at the event were Construction Director Tony Ward and Associate Director - Pre-Construction Euan McDermott, joining East Ayrshire Council and other project partners and stakeholders to mark the completion of this major refurbishment.

The transformation of St Sophia’s showcases a landmark step forward in delivering highly energy-efficient learning environments through the refurbishment of existing buildings.

A proud moment for everyone involved in delivering this pioneering project.

Throwback to our work at the Buchanan Centre in Coatbridge, delivered in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council.

We carried out a ground floor redesign of this key community hub, home to a range of essential services including a library, first stop shop, social work and criminal justice departments.

Working within a live, fully operational building, the project required careful phasing, close coordination, and detailed planning to ensure services remained open to the public throughout the works.

The result was a more modern, efficient and functional layout, improving facilities for staff while maintaining uninterrupted access for the community it serves.

Fleming are delighted to mark the official ground-breaking at Baltic Street Adventure Playground on 9th June.

Delivered in partnership with Glasgow City Council, this milestone signals the start of construction on site for a new permanent home for Baltic Street Adventure Playground.

The facility will replace the existing temporary cabins and support BSAP’s long-standing role in providing supervised play opportunities for children aged 6–12.

We’re proud to be involved in bringing this important community project forward and look forward to seeing it take shape over the coming months.

Fleming are delighted to be involved in the new Milton Nursery and Family Centre project alongside Glasgow City Council and hubWest Scotland.

As part of our community benefit activities on the project, pupils from Scaraway Nursery were invited to create artwork inspired by the new development. Their fantastic designs are now proudly displayed on the site hoarding at Milton Nursery and Family Centre.

With the project due for completion at the end of July, it’s great to see the local community involved and for the children to play a part in bringing personality and creativity to the development while works progress on site.

A look back at the Bishopton & Dargavel Satellite Facility, delivered by Fleming in partnership with Hub West Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

These images capture the project journey - from early models through to key milestones, including the topping out ceremony in March 2025, where Fleming welcomed Neil Gray, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care.

Forming part of the wider Dargavel Village development, the facility now provides a modern, healthcare environment designed to support the local community for years to come.

A strong example of collaborative delivery and careful planning within an established residential setting.

Fleming is pleased to be progressing with the second phase of works at Govan Old Church, delivered on behalf of Govan Heritage Trust.

Working once again alongside JM Architects, and in collaboration with Gardiner & Theobald, Woolgar Hunter Engineers and Kilbryde Consulting Engineers, the project is now moving through a key stage on site with the structural steelwork nearing completion.

It’s great to be involved in a project that blends heritage and contemporary construction, supporting the continued evolution of such a significant local landmark in Govan.

We look forward to seeing the next stages of the build develop over the coming months.

Fleming was appointed as the main contractor to deliver the design and build of the Bishopton & Dargavel Satellite Facility, working with Hub West Scotland in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Renfrewshire HSCP.

The new facility forms part of the wider Dargavel Village development and provides a modern, community-focused healthcare environment, including consulting rooms, treatment space, multi-use rooms and a dedicated community area, alongside external works and landscaped spaces.

Constructed using a timber frame structure, the building is designed to deliver high performance while integrating seamlessly within an established residential setting, with careful planning throughout to minimise disruption to the local community.
