LANDLORDS & HOMEOWNERS: EICR rules are now in force ⚡

As of 15 October 2026, EICRs must be carried out to BS 7671 Amendment 4. And since 1 October, inspectors signing periodic inspection reports must have a Level 3 qualification, at least two years’ relevant experience and a CPD record.

Why does it matter? A properly completed inspection helps identify electrical safety issues and gives you confidence that your report meets the current requirements.

The importance of staying on top of inspections is clear: Stirling Council recorded 2,391 missed electrical safety inspection deadlines in 2025/26. Don’t let yours slip.
