Another simple upgrade that makes a big difference! 💡

We installed LED tape lighting inside these cupboards, complete with a wireless door contact switch that automatically switches the lights on when the door opens and off when it closes. 🚪💡

Not only does it make finding what you need easier, but it also creates a beautiful, modern effect, illuminating the inside of the cupboards and highlighting everything within. The soft, even glow adds depth, improves visibility and gives the space that premium, bespoke finish. 👌

Installed a brand-new Ohme Home Pro EV charger. A nice, straightforward installation, positioned neatly back-to-back with the consumer unit for a clean and tidy finish. 👌

🔹 Job 2 – Pod Point Replacement
Replaced a Pod Point charger that had suffered internal burning. Another straightforward install, getting the customer back up and running with a new charger. ⚡

Another fantastic finishing touch to this media wall!

We installed dimmable LED tape lighting within plaster-in profiles, creating a stunning warm glow around the shelving and TV. 😍

We also fitted a 3-gang dimmer switch, allowing the customer to adjust the lighting to suit the mood — perfect for relaxing evenings or settling down for a film! 🎬🍿

💡 Another soffit lighting upgrade completed in Lenzie!

These existing soffit lights had seen better days! 😬 Several of the original fittings had suffered from heat damage, moisture and weather exposure, with the fittings clearly not suitable for their outdoor environment.

We removed the damaged fittings and replaced them with new CCT downlights from Diamond, giving the property a much cleaner, brighter and more modern finish. 🔥➡️💡

The new CCT fittings also allow the homeowner to choose the colour temperature to suit their preference.

🚨⚡ 11:15 PM EMERGENCY CALLOUT! ⚡🚨

Tonight we received an emergency callout to a property in Stepps with a vulnerable person in the home. We got on site quickly to investigate and get to the bottom of the problem. 👨‍🔧🔌

We traced the fault to the kitchen circuit. Even after unplugging all the appliances, the fault was still occurring, so it was time to investigate further. 🔍

After checking the sockets, we noticed a burning smell coming from a socket inside a cupboard supplying the fridge. 😳

On opening it up, we found the culprit… 🐌 A SLUG ACROSS THE CONNECTIONS! 🐌⚡

Looks like this little guy decided to audition for the role of a fuse! 😂 Unfortunately, he wasn’t electrically qualified and left us with a fault to sort out! 🔥🤣

Another reminder that electrical faults aren’t always what you expect, and that burning smells or repeatedly tripping circuits should never be ignored. ⚠️

🔨 JOB UPDATE — PRICED 2 YEARS AGO!

We’ve recently been back to a job that we originally priced almost two years ago.

The client has now asked us to price the work required to finish the job — which we’ve done. 👍

Unfortunately, it looks like our price isn’t the cheapest, so the client has decided to look elsewhere.

And this is something we see far too often…

When will customers learn that cheapest doesn’t always mean best? 🤷‍♂️

We’re not interested in being the cheapest electrical contractor. We’re interested in doing the job properly, safely and to a high standard — and standing behind our work.

You can always find someone cheaper… but make sure you know exactly what you’re getting for your money.
