Penetrating & rising damp treatment 🏡💚

Our team tackled damp-damaged walls throughout the kitchen and dining room, removing blown, salt-contaminated plaster back to the brickwork before installing mesh membrane and replastering to a smooth finish, ready for decoration once dry.

Outside, we repointed the affected side elevation and applied masonry cream to help reduce rainwater absorption and protect the brickwork against the British weather. 🌧️

A thorough approach means addressing the moisture entering the property as well as the damage inside.

Another bay window treated for rising damp by Clove Preservations 🏡✅

Bay windows can be vulnerable to rising damp where the damp proof course is missing, damaged or bridged by raised ground levels or external render, allowing moisture to travel up through the masonry.

Our hygrometers also recorded high humidity here, so we installed a vent to improve airflow and help reduce moisture build-up and condensation. 🌬️

To help protect against the harsh UK winter weather, we applied external masonry cream to the front of the bay, helping reduce rainwater absorption into the brickwork. 🌧️🧱
