The project team continues to make excellent progress, with over 22,000 man hours worked incident free to date.
Working throughout the winter months, the causeway is now substantially complete following construction of the new bank seat structure, which will facilitate the installation of the new linkspan.
We have continued to maintain an excellent relationship with the Falkland Islands community, providing regular updates through media outlets, and supporting the local supply chain.
A second vessel has recently departed from the Port of Sunderland, transporting specialist plant, equipment and materials required to support the team throughout the next stages of construction.
Well done to the project team for their efforts in progressing this logistically challenging scheme in the South Atlantic.
