I had a call-out today due to an elderly lady worried about the wiring in her home . Her grandson had received an electrical shock from the plug top on the left hand side of the photo. At some point the socket on the left had been a switch for a back boiler which had been taken out and an electric fire installed in its place . The way the fire has been installed it can only work if the socket on the right has the plug inserted and turned on and the other end of the lead with another plug on it inserted into the left socket . The electric shock occurred when the plug top had been removed from the left socket but still in the right socket and turned on . This could have have been fatal. Please only use approved Electricain’s .
