This stunning new deck was installed earlier this year in Selkirk.

Our clients were concerned that their old deck wouldn’t support all the guests they had invited to watch the horses come in at the Toll, during Selkirk Common Riding.

Having seen our work elsewhere, they contacted Graeme Steel and commissioned a new deck in time for the festivities.

This was a first-class installation that stood up to the party and will last for many years to come.

The timber is from our usual, trusted supplier, Robertson Timber Ltd.

This smart new porcelain patio with stepping stones has just been installed near Melrose by Colin and James. We used Marshalls Gardens and Driveways Arrento Sand paving to create this great new outdoor door living space.

This project was for another returning client, near Galashiels.

Our clients came back to Stow Construction after we installed their driveway last year. This time it was the patio’s turn for a transformation.

Graeme Steel recommended using Marshalls Gardens and Driveways Symphony Copper with Tegula kerbs in Pennant Grey, including special radial units.

The patio was edged with Traditional Drivesett kerbs to complement the driveway.

Another top-quality installation by Colin Spence and James of Stow Construction. 👍🏻

The clients were very happy with the completed job and said it “looked really posh” and praised the “excellent workmanship”.

A beautiful new patio for returning clients near Duns.

We had previously installed a driveway and patio for these clients, and they contacted Stow Construction again as they wanted a secondary patio in the sunny area of their garden. Unfortunately, there was quite a slope to deal with, so Marshalls Gardens and Driveways Tegula walling was used to level the area. We then completed the project with Indian Sandstone Brown Multi to match the existing patio.

A great new addition to their outdoor living space, expertly installed by Neil and David of Stow Construction. 👍🏻

For this fantastic patio transformation in Selkirk, our client contacted Stow Construction to see what we could do with her old patio.

After a consultation with Graeme Steel and viewing samples sent by Marshalls, we agreed on Marshalls Gardens and Driveways Symphony Natural in Senna. Smart new drainage channels from JDP Drainage were incorporated into the design, and for the edge restraint to create the step, we used Drivesett kerbs in Traditional colour.

The existing block paving was also cleaned and re-sanded.

Another top-quality installation of premium paving products by Neil and David of Stow Construction. 👍🏻

The client was very pleased with the result and sent us this lovely message:

“Thank you for everything, Graeme. Your team, led by Neil, was super, and I would recommend Stow Construction to all.
The work they did was great, and I am very pleased by the result.

In our home village of Stow, we installed this smart-looking access solution for an elderly client.

This design-led installation provided more suitable access to their home while also enhancing its overall appearance. We always ensure compliance with the correct specifications for such projects.

The paving used was Marshalls Gardens and Driveways Textured Charcoal with Tegula walling.

We have just recently completed this new patio and steps for our client in Walkerburn, who was fed up with having to maintain the gravel area.

Graeme Steel recommended using Marshalls Gardens and Driveways Indian Sandstone Buff Multi in mixed sizes. New steps were included to complete the look, and as always, it’s important to make sure proper drainage is also installed.

We recently completed this smart new Millboard deck in Edinburgh.

Having previously worked for our clients, they contacted Stow Construction again to see what could be done with their tired old deck.

Graeme Steel recommended viewing samples from the Millboard Decking range, and they settled on Enhanced Grain in Golden Oak.

The subframe and handrails were supplied by Robertson Timber Ltd.

Thanks to Cut Price Timber for all their help in supplying the Millboard with its accessories, including bullnose and facia boards, to complete the look.

This feat of engineering was constructed during the winter months. Our clients had purchased the gates, then instructed us to construct two stone pillars to hang the new gates on.

The pillars had extra steel built into them to ensure they could accommodate the gates within the stonework. We had to work to the millimetre to ensure a perfect fit.

The work was completed by the slate sculptures on the pillar caps (by others).

Many thanks to T & R Keddie from Selkirk for help with engineering the internal steel support. Also, Border Aggregates & Landscaping Supplies Ltd for supplying the stone and aggregates.
