Our design for Trinity Road was created with considered lighting, biophilic design, a green wall, ceiling baffles and timber cladding to create a calm, welcoming environment while supporting acoustic performance.

A thoughtful reception can say a lot about a business before a word is spoken.

Alistair & Skye dare to brave the bridge!

165 feet. A free-fall abseil. All for a great cause.

On Sunday 4th October, Alistair and Skye from our AT team will take on an incredible challenge — abseiling 165 feet from the Forth Road Bridge to raise vital funds for our charity partner, Children's Hospices Across Scotland, (CHAS).

Taking on the challenge free-fall style, they’ll be heading over the Firth of Forth and taking a very big step outside their comfort zones — all in support of an amazing cause.

A huge thank you to Alistair Whitson & Skye Chatburn for putting themselves forward for this challenge! It takes real courage to take on something like this, and we’re incredibly proud to have them representing the team and supporting such an important charity.

Now they need your help to raise as much as possible for CHAS. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference to children and families supported by CHAS.

The demolition of the old Almstrongs building made way for a design that helped to reimagine Oliver Crescent. The new building sits comfortably within the existing streetscape while breathing new life into the area and the business community in Hawick.

Is There a Shift Towards Adaptive Reuse Over New Build?

Knocking buildings down and starting again is becoming harder to justify, both economically and environmentally.

Adaptive reuse makes sense on paper. The challenge is that bringing an older building up to modern standards of performance, fire safety and compliance often uncovers problems nobody knew were there. Alasdair talks through the tensions at the heart of that process.
