Hello everyone a quick update on Jared seen as it’s been just over a week

Jared is doing well. We are back and forth to Hull quite a lot, as you can imagine, but his thumb is doing really well.

He has three wires pinning the bone back together, which are currently poking out of his thumb, and they will be removed in around three weeks. The surgeon explained to us today that he had cut through absolutely everything in his thumb. They have managed to put back together everything they possibly could apart from one artery. For the other artery, they had to take a vessel graft from the back of his hand to repair it.

Unfortunately, that artery isn’t working properly at the moment and is only allowing intermittent blood flow, but thankfully his thumb is currently getting good blood flow, so the surgeon isn’t worried at this stage.

We are back over in Hull on either Friday or Tuesday to have his cast removed and replaced with a lightweight plastic splint. They will also give him some exercises to start doing. It’s a bit complicated at the moment though because normally, after the first week, they would want him to start doing full movements. Because he also cut through the bone, he can’t do that yet as they need to give the bone time to heal! 😂

It’s all a bit of a pain at the minute, but he is well, comfortable, and not in any pain, which is the main thing.

Just a reminder that I am back doing light work on my own and taking bookings I have completely reset the diary due to everything that has happened and me being on my own so please do message me to get booked in

Also as a lot will know our dad is due major back surgery again soon we are just waiting for a date now his echocardiogram results are back that to is not good and will also need heart surgery but that we are not sure about as only just got the results back so I will keep you updated on that as that will effect the out of town jobs

Hi everyone,

I’ll be returning to work on Sunday. As I’ll be covering everything solo while Jared recovers, I’ll be focusing on our regular clients and jobs to start with.

Thank you all so much for your patience. The good news is Jared is improving slowly and has started to regain movement in his thumb.

For our regular clients: if you’d like to book in, please feel free to send me a text and I’ll get you scheduled. Please note that without Jared I won’t be able to take on as many appointments each day, so efficiency may be a bit slower initially.

Hello everyone,

Now that Jared is on the mend and we’ve had the chance to speak with his surgeons, we’ve made the decision that, for the best possible outcome, we are not going to rush him back into anything. We want to give his thumb all the time it needs to heal properly.

Unfortunately, this means that Jared’s gardening season has come to an early end for this season. As much as we know he would love to get back out there, his recovery has to come first, and there will always be another gardening season. ❤️

Once Jared is home and settled, Jace has decided that he would like to get back out there and continue working, hopefully starting again at the weekend. This is completely Jace’s decision, and for the time being he will only be taking on light work.

His regular customers will come first and foremost, and after that he will be able to take on things such as:

• Grass cutting
• Small/light hedge cuts
• General garden tidy-ups
• Other light gardening work where needed
• jet washing

As Jace will be a one-man band, he unfortunately won’t be able to remove any garden waste. So, if you would like him to do a job for you, we just ask that you are able to dispose of any waste yourself.

Jace will also be messaging everyone who was booked in this week to get you rebooked. Please bear with him while he works his way through everyone — he will get around to you all. 💚

Lastly, as we said yesterday, we want to send a huge and heartfelt thank you to every single person who has messaged, commented, checked in on Jared or sent their love and support. The amount of kindness shown towards Jared and our whole family has been absolutely incredible, and we really do appreciate every single message.

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding and support. It genuinely means the world to us as a family. ❤️

UPDATE ON JARED ❤️

Hello everyone, just to give you all an update on Jared.

He is finally out of surgery. He came out of theatre at around 7:30pm, and we have some really good news — the amazing surgeons at HRI have managed to save his thumb and reattach it. ❤️

They have repaired the bone, tendons, nerves and the other damage caused by the accident. Unfortunately, there was one artery in his thumb that they weren’t able to repair, which means the blood flow is currently a little intermittent. However, his thumb still has fantastic colour and good blood flow, which is really positive.

He does have some nerve damage, but this was expected considering the extent of the injury.

They are keeping him in hospital overnight for two main reasons. Firstly, they need to give him antibiotics through his drip to make up for the doses he missed while he was in surgery. Secondly, they want to keep a very close eye on the blood flow to his thumb and make sure everything continues as it should.

If everything still looks good in the morning, he should hopefully be able to come home. ❤️

They have fixed the bone back together using wires, which are currently sticking out through the end of his thumb. He will need to go back in around four weeks to have those removed.

As you can imagine, Jared is absolutely exhausted. He hasn’t really managed to stay awake since coming out of theatre, so we’ve just left him to get the sleep and rest that he desperately needs after such a long day.

Lastly, me, Tash and the boys would like to say a massive heartfelt thank you to every single person who has sent messages, kind words and support. It genuinely means the world to all of us.

After what has been an incredibly frightening couple of days, tonight we are just unbelievably grateful that the surgeons have managed to save Jared’s thumb.

Hello everyone just to let you all know that we will be cancelling all jobs for the next few weeks

As Jared has accidentally chopped his thumb off we’ll not all off but he has chopped most of it it’s gone through the bone and nerves and tendon he will be going to hull for surgery to try and save his thumb but we will keep everyone updated

Just to let you know the mower is down right now and hopefully going to be fixed tomorrow or Friday fingers crossed so please bare with us while this is sorted still available for hedge cuts but for any grass work we are not until the mower has been fixed thank you everyone

Hello everyone sorry not many list we have been extremely busy but we have a few days in the diary that could be filled seen as though the we can’t grass cut because it’s laying dormant ( not dead lol ) but we are on a mission cutting hedges and if you want to be naughty we have a petrol jet wash now if you need anything doing but if you have a hedge that needs cutting then we can get you booked in but before we start we will check it completely for nets before we cut them thank you Jared and Jace. Hope you like the new uniform we absolutely love them so a massive thank you again to Fun Printz & Embroidery but they will be going back so we can add our numbers to the shirt and hoodie and will be placing another order later this month for the fan as they are going to wear them to promote us lol thank you to everyone who has stood by us so far and we look forward to seeing you all soon ignore anglin water get watering that grass lol my dad has got something called magic lawn it’s what they use at football grounds and it really works our grass is coming back we water it every 3 days
