🚨 Saturday Emergency Call-Out 🚨

We were called out to a property on Saturday following an emergency drainage issue. The toilet waste was backing up and flowing out through the kitchen sink whenever the upstairs toilet was flushed. 🚽💧

There was no sewer chamber that we could locate externally, so we traced the soil stack downstairs, which was concealed behind a wall. An access point was carefully created to allow us to mechanically clear the blockage.

Once the blockage was cleared, we discovered the cause — tree roots had entered the drainage system. 🌳

We then carried out a CCTV drain inspection and trace, which located a buried sewer chamber underneath the slabs at the front of the property.

The chamber will now be uncovered and brought up to ground level, providing proper access for future maintenance and helping prevent a similar issue from becoming a major emergency again.

✈️ We’re taking to the skies! 🪽

This year, we’re taking on a brand-new challenge and completing our first ever Wing Walk! 😬✈️

We’re thrilled to be teaming up with the fantastic team at Howden Insurance in Newport for this exciting challenge, as we come together to raise money for children with additional needs at St Catherine’s Primary School.

It’s certainly not your everyday fundraiser, and we’re looking forward to stepping well outside our comfort zone — quite literally! — and making it a day to remember.

The big day is 4th September, and we’ll be taking on the challenge alongside the Howden team to raise as much as possible for this brilliant local cause.

💙 Every donation, no matter how big or small, is hugely appreciated and will help make a real difference to the children and their school community.

Keep an eye out for updates as we get closer to the big day. We can’t wait to take flight! 🛩️

🚽 A blockage caused by a serious build-up of scale!

We recently attended a property that had been experiencing frequent toilet blockages. After removing the toilet, we found what is quite possibly the worst build-up of scale we've ever seen inside a pan connector.

To resolve the issue properly, we carried out a mechanical descale of the internal soil stack pipe, removing the significant scale build-up and restoring the internal diameter of the pipework.

We then renewed the pan connector before carefully reinstalling the toilet, leaving the system clear and operating as it should. 🛠️

Another challenging blockage successfully diagnosed and resolved!

🎥 Watch the final obstruction being removed from this 225mm concrete stormwater line.

We were instructed by our client to carry out drainage works on a 225mm concrete stormwater line that was approximately 90% blocked by tree roots, preventing rainwater from flowing away effectively.

Our team has been carrying out mechanical root cutting, high-pressure water jetting and CCTV surveys to restore the line and prepare it for a full drain reline.

This video captures the moment the final root mass, along with a large piece of wood, was successfully removed from the last section of the pipeline, leaving it clear and ready for the next stage of the project.

Another great result and a perfect example of how the right equipment and expertise can restore heavily obstructed drainage systems before rehabilitation.

Tomorrow, a dedicated team of swimmers will take on the challenging 1.3-mile crossing of the Solent, from Hurst Point to Colwell Bay, raising vital funds to support local families affected by cancer.
