Ssangyong Rodius Key made by Cobra is common for either falling apart for no reason, or the plastic around the engine immobiliser breaking which in turns lets the immobiliser chip fall out

Option 1

£180 per key from dealer with a 3 week wait, when key has arrived car needs to go to dealer to be programmed (possibly costing more)

Option 2

3 day wait

Cost’s
£135 call out @ £1 per mile
(we were in derby anyway so call out from there)
£60 for first chip (all keys lost)
£75 for new key/chip no fob
£30 for new key
£15 for remote housing

£315 Total for 2 keys made at customers work

Even with a £1 a mile call out fee we can still be the cheapest option !

Following a recent call out, can we remind everyone to please check your door locks / boot locks work

If your remote stops working for any reason the only was into the car is via the key

Customer's door lock didnt work, he had called out a few "locksmiths" and breakdown service that left him stranded, he ended up smashing a window to get personal belongings

Second issue customers had his key not turning in ignition, "locksmith" advised customer to change steering coloum

We found the customer in the groups ask for advice, a few messages and we set an appointment No fix No fee as ever

We listening to the customer and we were convinced he had lost his immobiliser chip, this was the case we brought his immobiliser u it back to the workshop to deal with, in the mean time because we had shown the customer the immobiliser chips he found his original chip under his table where he had changed the battery

Next day we returned with the immobiliser ecu put the car back together, supplied a complete new key and refreshed his old key

We are happy for customers to contact us for keys or lock work, but we also listen, we give advice for free, clear pricing from the off and always no fix no fee !

Following reading a recent post, we would like to remind everyone to check your door / boot locks work with your current key

If you use your remote all the time the locks go unused get full of dirt and fail, now if your remote battery dies on you and you need to get home the only way into your car is via the door lock or boot lock on some cars

We are able to source most door locks even matching sets of locks so you keep the same key for everything

After our short wait our new equipment is here, key cutting machine able to trace your key and replicate it perfectly

Stock of some oem style keys is a little behind, we have in stock plenty of other keys to choose from, offering upgrades to flip keys where possible and in a selection of colours !

Well our local postman is officially getting fed up with us right now, the last few machines and most importantly the key cutter should be here in the next few days

We already have a small selection of people waiting for keys across the northwest (M6 stoke to M6 Blackpool)
