Little Repair job for friends rented property.
This bit of skirting in the bathroom suffered with water damage from the shower. Why the installers used MDF I don’t know but I replaced it with pine. Looks better and will hopefully last a bit longer.

As we leave summer behind and enter autumn now is the perfect time to sort the lawns out after the harshest driest summer we’ve had for a while.
So I have been scarifying, applying treatment and over seeding with a top dressing. The warmth retained by the soil coupled with fertile top dressing and a sprinkling of rain is just perfect conditions for germination of the seed and hopefully will see results very quickly.
Meanwhile there are plenty of hedges and bushes to tidy and cut back.

Cleared one side of a garage today so that I could paint the walls and floor ready for shelves to be installed. Looks so much better but sorry to the spiders that had to vacate.
Floor paint used is a resin polyurethane which is nice and hard wearing.

Built this gate from scratch, painted and hung it today. Nice and solid waiting for its top coat.
