Two freshly turned Monterey Cypress pieces, crafted from storm damaged timber collected from Rhosycaerau cemetery

​A large Statement Piece – An enormous, highly figured bowl. Photos really don't do justice to the swirling grain patterns and character-filled knots in this timber.

The Live Edge Wave – An artistic design showcasing that striking contrast between the pale sapwood outer and rich heartwood core.

​Mahogany and lime large segmented vase.

​Segmented turning leaves zero room for error—every single angle has to be dead on, or the whole thing misaligns. Really enjoy pushing myself, refining the precision, and testing the limits of my lathe skills.

High-consequence rigging with a serious view!

​This job in Pwllgwaelod required some highly technical rigging and absolute precision to safely prune back these large limbs overhanging the roof. Working directly over slate always raises the stakes, but the crew executed it flawlessly.

​A real team effort to complete this level of tree work correctly. Climbing and brilliant rope work. Well done team!

From a garden giant to a mantlepiece treasure. ✨
​This mighty Ash tree finally reached the end of its life, but we knew its story didn't have to end there.
While most of the tree will keep homes warm as firewood for many winters to come, we saved the most "characterful" pieces for the workshop.
​Swipe to see what was hidden beneath that rugged bark: a stunning, highly figured hollow form vase. The tree may be gone, but this piece of art will last forever. 🌳🏺
