And that’s a wrap on the Gayton project… for now. 👏

✅ Internal drainage complete
✅ External foul drainage complete
✅ Storm drainage complete
✅ Soakaways installed
✅ Services completed within the block and beam
✅ Scaffold mat installed
✅ Gardens levelled and ready for the next stage

We’ll be returning once the houses are built to complete the external finishing works. Another happy customer, and we’re looking forward to coming back to put the finishing touches on the project. 💪🏡

Another project coming together nicely! 👌

After a short break away from this one, the lads returned to complete the gravel parking area and granite cobble pathway. We also extended the existing slabbed side path by one row to perfectly match the opposite side and tie everything together. 👏

We’re not finished yet… 💪

In a few weeks we’ll be back to install the main granite cobble driveway, bringing the total amount of cobbles laid across the patio, paths and driveway to an impressive 125m². 🥵

Out with the old and in with the new! We removed the existing retaining wall, excavated further back to create more usable space, and installed a brand-new sleeper retaining wall using heavy-duty slotted steel posts.

To ensure long-term performance, the wall has been backfilled with clean drainage gravel wrapped in geotextile membrane. This allows water to drain away efficiently and prevents it from sitting against the timber sleepers, helping to maximise the lifespan of the wall.

With the reinforcement now in place and everything tied and ready for the developer to carry on.

📍 Project Gayton

We’re pleased to have been awarded the groundworks package for two new-build plots for mode_construction. It’s a pleasure to have been chosen as the groundworks contractor to support them on their first in-house development.

A great start on site, with:

✅ Foundations excavated
✅ Concrete foundations poured
✅ Oversite stripped and prepared

The plots are now ready for the bricklayers to begin, with the drainage works following immediately behind to keep the programme moving.

A tidy site is a safe, happy site, and our team takes pride in maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout every project.

🏗️ Another project completed and another happy customer!

One of our teams has recently completed the groundwork for this extension, delivering the project efficiently and on schedule.

Our scope of works included:
✅ Site clearance and assisting with demo
✅ Foundation excavation and installation
✅ Blockwork up to slab level
✅ Oversite prepped and poured
✅ Foul drainage alterations

Everything was completed and handed back ready for the next phase of construction, helping keep our client on programme.

A basement brought back to life. ✨

The herringbone brick floor, exposed stonework and original beams have transformed this space into something truly special, full of warmth, character and craftsmanship.

Projects like this are always rewarding to see come together, especially when the finished result feels so at home within the original building.

✅ Another Project Complete ✅

The lads have been hard at work on this one, transforming a failed patio into a stunning new cobble patio while also relaying 30m² of granite slabs.

Once we lifted the existing patio, it was clear why it had failed. Large chunks of concrete, brick rubble and sloppy mud topped with just 50mm of Carstone certainly don’t make for a suitable sub-base!

The team have done a fantastic job turning this area around and creating a patio that’s built to last. Another happy customer and a great transformation.

But we’re not finished yet…

🔨 Next up:
✔️ 80m² of cobbles for the driveway and pathways
✔️ 25m² of granite slabs
✔️ Greenhouse base
✔️ Small retaining walls

We recently returned to Stowbridge to complete the last garage raft foundation for … because the first one wasn’t quite big enough 😅

Excavated down to suitable ground, filled with hardcore to formation level, then installed the shuttering and reinforcement ready for the pour.
