Our job of the week this week was completed by one of our joiner team and a painter and decorator we regularly use.

Client got in touch asking if we could help because everyone he tried spoke to didn’t want the job. Which we obviously said of course as we always do

The decorating wasn’t the issue.
The issue was the coving
The client had it moulded bespoke out of gyproc which means with the price of it there was no room for error

Spoke to our joiner and he was confident with it so a price was agreed and they went to work. The decorator followed and sharpened everything up

And what a finish of a job it’s turned out.
Crisp clean finishes.

Would just like to offer our apologies in regards to few updates.

We are extremely busy with our own work that it’s been difficult to consistent post
But our phones are always on hand and we are receiving call and messages and replying best we can

🌟🌟🌟 JOB OF THE WEEK 🌟🌟🌟

Well here’s a job I’ve been excited to get posted up since we got the call 6 weeks ago when it was very early days into our new venture

A roughcast job and lintel repairs carried out to the highest of standards and everyone involved from start to finishing working with the upmost professionalism.
Visited the client today to make sure everything went smoothly and she could not praise the way it’s been carried out high enough

We just get the clients in touch with the very best trades so all the praise on this deserves to go to the companies involved in this

What I like most is that it’s 2 roughcast companies coming together on this to get it over the line and finished to the best standard

The house now stands out in the street and is a really show stopper

Really happy to showcase this

The weekend is almost here and we will not only showcasing another job that’s been completed this week

But this has been our largest job to date in the few weeks we’ve been up and running

When I say largest I mean it’s been a job that’s involved 2 of the contractors we use that both jumped on it due to its size, both companies work in the same sector and collaborated to get this job done and over the line.

So keep your eyes peeled for this
One that I’m very proud and grateful to have been trusted to provide the trades for

Update on the previous post

Customer has now paid the trade and all is sorted. Glad to have the new week start on a positive note. New jobs underway, and more for myself and other trades to go and price.

So as we learn more everyday on how is the best way to run the company and avoid not only bad trades but bad customers looking to pull a fast one we’ve decided to look into ways to protect both the clients and the companies that come on board with us.

With trades having to sign agreements to ensure accountability we will now look in the clients doing so as well before work commences. That way both client and trades can be held accountable to each other

As with everything new there is teething problems. And we work hard behind the scenes to resolve the issues

We all hear the horror stories of poor tradesmen doing runners with deposits or poor workmanship

That news always travels the furthest

But unfortunately being a tradesman myself we also have deal with difficult customers

We are currently dealing with one at the moment.
One of the trades we use who has completed a job to his usual high standards is now having difficulties getting paid

Not due to poor workmanship or any other thing you can think of, but purely out of the customer being, and I will put this as politely as I can, “AN ARSEHOLE”. Reading texts and invoices and not replying, the message has been double blue ticked, this has been going on for 3 days, not answering calls and avoiding the tradesman

I’ve spoken with the trade today about next steps, and he’s close to tears
Clients seem to think that a trade can just cover the cost of everything until they feel it’s the right time to pay.
I do know the clients rights so no one needs to explain but it’s not the norm
When the job is done just pay the invoice if the work stands up. Trades work all week putting their own money into jobs and to miss a payment can set the tradesman back weeks in his own bills trying to catch up.
It’s not right or fair.
