Busy day over in Lothian Court, Glenrothes today with a mix of indoor and outdoor work.

We started by repairing a large number of squeaky and loose floorboards in the bedroom to get everything ready for the client’s carpet fitter.

There was a lot needing attention, but the floor is now solid and ready for the new carpet going down.

Outside, we installed two 8ft posts in the garden which will be taking a trellis, and we dug out the turf below to prepare the area for the next stage building a raised bed.

We also dug out and removed turf in another section of the garden to get that area ready for more raised beds.

A solid day’s work and good progress made for the client’s upcoming projects.

Another great review in today from a customer in Kelty who needed their toddler’s Swedish Ladder installed.

The walls had been tricky for them in the past, but we got everything fitted securely and without any issues.

Always good to hear the communication and timing on the day were appreciated too.

Fence Replacement & Garden Gate Installation in Woodside, Glenrothes

Back out in Woodside, Glenrothes this week for a returning client.
We replaced her old, weathered fence with a fresh run of new timber panels and posts, giving the garden a clean, modern look
The job also included fitting a new garden gate

The client wasted no time getting stuck in with her own touch. she’s started painting the fence and gate almost straight away, and it’s looking great.

Garage Removal, Waste Clearance & Shed Base Build in Ballingry

Ballingry last week carrying out stsge 1 of a full garden overhaul

We started by dismantling the old wooden garage, taking the full structure down safely and clearing the area. All the waste that had built up behind the garage was removed and loaded into skips — it took two full skips to get everything cleared out properly.

With the garage gone and the waste removed, the space is now ready for backfilling and levelling off.

On a different part of the garden, we then broke out the old concrete and slabs to prepare the ground for the new shed area. Once cleared, we built a solid timber base designed to support the new metal shed.

With the base complete, we assembled and erected the metal shed on top, getting everything aligned, secured, and watertight.

This Week’s Project in Ballingry

We’ve been in Ballingry this week working on a full outdoor overhaul for this client. The job began with dismantling and removing an old wooden garage, followed by clearing out years of debris around the area.

The customer’s plan for the space is to clear the remaining waste along the fence line, then backfill and level the ground to create a clean, usable area.

Before we build the new shed base, we’ll be removing the existing slabs and concrete on the sloped section. Once that’s cleared, we’ll install a decking‑style shed base, ready for the new metal shed going in afterwards.

At the same property, we’ll also be:
• Installing a new deck
• Carrying out window and door repairs
• Painting the exterior of the house
• Installing a new gate to finish off the entrance area

A big multi‑stage project, and it’s already taking shape nicely.

Back in Collydean Glenrothes over the last couple of days for a returning client, getting a few bits freshened up around the house.

First job was the front door taking it from a post‑box red to a satin anthracite grey. The difference is night and day, and it’s given the entrance a much more modern look.

The client also asked for their radiators to be painted silver. It’s not something we’d tackled before, but the finish came out great.

We also painted the interior windowsills.

Always appreciate customers coming back makes the work that bit more rewarding
