ABC of yesterday... Acer.. Buddlia.. Cornus.. Downpipes.. Gutters.. Holly.. Ivy.. Laurel and Pyracantha..... cleaning, cutting and binning on an actually still warm day 🌞! (part of the Acer had died btw!) Tidying up for my lovely customers! 😍

Forgotten to photograph anything for ages, but was stunned by the difference deadheading made to this lovely spirea. So, stopped to take a contrast pic! Trimming will also cause it to produce new growth and new flowers, as seen by new flowers from a previous trim. End result.... Beautiful! 😍

Digging up a Chestnut tree, but only chest height when in ground! No chain saw needed! A nice space for new plants now! 😁

Please stare at this photo..... it might help you cool down! I'm beginning to fantasize about the sound and smell and feel of rain. I got too hot again today and needed a rehydration sachet......was not a good feeling. So I'm dreaming of rain, imagining those cool trickles missing my coat and going down my neck......into the leak in my boots....one day it will happen.... One day it will rain again!! 🤪 🤯🫩

This was pretty much me earlier! Standing on stuff that held my weight for (just about) long enough 🤣🙄 and on a virtually vertical ladder that was wedged between fat sharp rose stems and a lot of cut branches...... I trimmed the top & sides of a beautiful pine arbour! I was determined to do it.... and that determination gave me super powers! 😂
🤭 I confess to one short expletive when the ladder 🪜 shifted under me, but even at 45 degrees sideways, it held me up long enough! Legs wobbled a bit as I got down but I did it! Yes! 👍🤣
An "oh Sarah!" moment for sure!🤭
