Having a go at a bit of Veteranisation on this dead Beech Tree in Felixstowe. Veteranisation is the acceleration of creating decay, cavities and dead wood habitats.
We could have removed the tree but it’s far more valuable being left as habitat. It will be enjoyable for the customer to watch the process over the years.

A really enjoyable job, and nice to be given the opportunity to carry out this work.

Crown reducing this beautiful Lime tree in Felixstowe, Suffolk. It’s the third time I’ve pruned this tree and it never gets any easier. It’s at an awkward size where the limbs are quite small to stand on to prune the top. I was happy with the out come. If you would like your trees pruned so they are left looking natural and balanced please call Ginkgo Tree Surgery Ltd on 07934384501. Thank you for looking.

I was contacted by Trimley St Mary Parish Council to provide some advise on how to best manage this beautiful Monkey Puzzel Tree at the welcome hall. Due to the nature of the tree being very spiky It was a risk to the public and hirers of the hall. I convinced them to purchase a tree cage and crown raise it to above 2.5 meters. I promised them I would put some lights on it for Christmas. It wasn’t as straightforward as I hoped, but we got there in the end and the tree has been saved.

The lights were provided by Trimley St Mary Parish Council and have been put on in such a way that they will not strangle the limbs.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Ginkgo Tree Surgery Ltd.
