From a broken gas boiler to a new renewable heating system. 🔥➡️🌱

This property came to us with a failed gas boiler, so we helped transform the heating system with a 9kW Grant Aerona air source heat pump and new hot water cylinder.

The installation also included pre-insulated pipework installed underground to connect the heat pump back to the property.

It’s not simply a case of swapping one heating appliance for another, the whole system needs to be designed and installed to work efficiently with the property.

Thinking about switching to a heat pump but wondering what the installation actually looks like? 👀

This is a great example of a recent installation by UK Renewables.

The old heating system was removed and replaced with a Vaillant aroTHERM plus air source heat pump, carefully positioned outside the property with the pipework and components installed neatly around the existing building.

For us, it’s not just about fitting the heat pump.

We look at the heat loss of the property, required flow temperatures, radiator/UFH requirements, pipework, hot water demand and system hydraulics before deciding how the system should be designed.

The result? A heating system that’s designed around the home and the people living in it, rather than simply installing a heat pump and hoping for the best.

A compact installation with a big impact! 👌

We recently completed the installation of a 4kW Grant Aerona R290 air source heat pump paired with a 180-litre slimline hot water cylinder—the perfect solution where space is at a premium.

With a tight airing cupboard, we carefully planned the installation, locating some of the system components in the loft to maximise the available space while keeping everything neat, accessible and fully compliant.

To top it all off, we were treated to an unexpected flypast from the Farnborough Air Show as fighter jets roared overhead during the install! ✈️

Another home now benefiting from lower carbon heating, improved efficiency and lower running costs.

🌿 Another successful heat pump installation completed by UK Renewables! 👏

This project included the installation of a Grant Aerona³ R290 12kW air source heat pump along with a 210-litre hot water cylinder, replacing an old LPG boiler and hot water cylinder with a modern, energy-efficient heating system.

To ensure the system continues to perform at its very best, we’ve also installed our Heat Pump Monitoring System, allowing us to remotely monitor performance, optimise efficiency, and identify any potential issues before they become a problem. Giving our customers complete peace of mind. 📊

💷 Did you know? If you’re replacing an oil or LPG heating system, you could now be eligible for a £9,000 government grant towards the cost of a new air source heat pump, making the switch more affordable than ever.
