Did you know we currently have 900 customers on our annual boiler service list and that number is growing every week? 😊

That works out at around 17 boiler services every week, helping our customers keep their heating systems running safely and efficiently.

And it’s not just gas boilers. Our annual servicing customers include:
- Gas
- Oil
- LPG
- Commercial properties

We also offer annual service plans, with the cost spread through convenient monthly Direct Debit payments.

Regular servicing means one less thing to worry about and with hundreds of customers trusting us year after year, we're proud to be looking after so many heating systems across the area.

What does “doing the job properly” actually look like?

It’s more than turning up and fixing the problem.

It’s arriving prepared, listening to the customer, carrying out the work carefully, keeping them informed and making sure everything is left as it should be.

It might have been sitting quietly through the warmer months, so now is a good time to switch your heating on and make sure everything is working as it should.

Run your boiler today.

We’re proud to be sponsoring our engineer Zak as he joins Team Swindon for this year’s The Annual C***r Cup!

The C***r Cup is an annual golf tournament where Team Swindon and Team Highworth go head-to-head for the trophy, all while raising money for a brilliant cause.

This year, the teams are raising money for Tumour Research, a charity that’s particularly close to the hearts of many involved.

The big day is the 30th August and Zak will be hoping to help Team Swindon retain the trophy in his first ever C***r Cup! 🏆

Working in a listed building can come with some very specific requirements.

This copper pipework was installed underneath a customer’s sink at a National Trust listed property.

Because naked flames such as those used for soldering cannot be used in this type of building due to the risk of fire, our engineers used press-fit fittings to complete the installation safely and appropriately.

It’s a great example of why specialist experience matters when working in historic and listed properties.

The job might look like straightforward plumbing, but the building itself can completely change how the work needs to be carried out.

There’s nothing better than hearing that we’ve been able to help when someone really needed us.

This customer had already been let down by two plumbers before getting in touch with Purple Plumbing People. We were able to get someone out within the hour and, most importantly, get the problem sorted.

Meet Roly & Susan!

Every business has a story.

And behind Purple Plumbing People are Roly and Susan Paterson, who started the business with a simple belief:

If you’re going to do something, do it properly.

After being made redundant, Roly decided it was time for a new beginning.

Having worked on farms from the age of 15, he retrained as a plumber and started building a business based on hard work, practical expertise and honest service.

It didn’t take long for the business to grow.

Soon after, Susan joined Roly, bringing her background in accountancy and organisation to the business.

Together, they combined their strengths and began building something of their own, a family business based on quality, reliability and doing right by their customers.

Susan was determined that the business should grow steadily and professionally, always making sure customers were well informed, pricing was transparent and the team continued to invest in training and expertise.

Roly’s enthusiasm for providing customers with a more comprehensive service saw Purple Plumbing People grow beyond plumbing into heating, oil, gas and LPG, with a team of qualified engineers joining along the way.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, Purple Plumbing People is a team of specialists serving homes, landlords, businesses, schools, churches, and heritage properties across the region. Following our merger with The Lavender Bathrooms, we now offer full bathroom installation services too.

But at the heart of it, we’re still a family business.

A business built on hard work, expertise, honesty and a genuine passion for doing things properly.
