Happy Penguin Appreciation Day!

Today we’re celebrating one of the world’s most iconic and characterful creatures – the penguin – and shining a spotlight on a very special connection within the Corrigenda family.

Our former colleague, Lauren Elliott, is now part of the incredible team at the South Georgia Heritage Trust, working on a remote island in the South Atlantic surrounded by thriving wildlife, including vast colonies of penguins.

The Trust and its USA affiliate FOSGI play a vital role in helping to protect and preserve South Georgia’s unique natural environment and wildlife, while also safeguarding its rich history for future generations. From large-scale habitat restoration projects to ongoing conservation work, their efforts in support of the GSGSSI strategy for South Georgia (https://gov.gs/) are helping this remarkable ecosystem recover and flourish. This Global Recycling Day, we’re celebrating the people who help make sustainability part of everyday working life.

Ian Lister, our Safety, Health and Environmental Manager and Amy Cole, our Asset Management and Compliance Officer play a key role in ensuring that environmental responsibility is embedded across our projects and workplaces.
