Good luck to all of our clients and friends exhibiting at the Royal Cornwall Show this week.

It’s always great to see so many local businesses, farmers and organisations coming together to showcase the best of Cornwall. We know how much effort goes into getting ready for the Show so we hope all the hard work pays off.

Have a fantastic few days and we will hopefully bump in to some of you around the show ground πŸšœπŸŒΎπŸ‘

There’s nothing we love more than seeing projects we have been involved in from the initial stages progress through to completion.

This one is particularly exciting and is the start of a new dairy unit in North East Cornwall. We are looking forward to seeing how it takes shape over the next few months!

Ending the week on a high with another fantastic Class Q approval today πŸ™Œ

This was a more challenging proposal, but through considered design and a clear strategy around policy compliance, we secured a great result. It’s one we’ve been eagerly awaiting, so both my client and I are delighted to see it approved.

It’s been a very busy but exciting Q1, with a strong run of planning consents granted. Alongside this, we have a full and varied workload, including:

β€’ Planning application for seasonal workers accommodation (x2)
β€’ Planning applications for 4 slurry lagoons
β€’ Agricultural worker’s dwelling
β€’ GPDO agricultural buildings
β€’ GPDO engineering works
β€’ Barn conversions
β€’ Agricultural justification appeal statements
β€’ Agricultural justifications to accompany planning applications
β€’ FETF grant applications
β€’ Agricultural Land Classification reports

Heading into Q2, we’re hoping for a bit more sunshine, the opening of SFI26, and to see many of the projects we’re currently working on continue to progress.

πŸ’§ Water Efficiency Innovation Fund πŸ’§

South West Water is offering funding to support businesses across Devon & Cornwall that have ideas to reduce mains water use and improve water efficiency.

The Water Efficiency Innovation Fund is open to projects that deliver measurable water savings. This could include:

πŸ’¦ Reusing or recycling water on-site
🌧️ Rainwater harvesting
βš™οΈ Improving processes or installing water-saving technology
πŸ”¬ Trialling innovative approaches that reduce demand on the public water supply

Funding contributions (including match-funding) are available, and applications are reviewed on a monthly basis.

Projects don’t need to be groundbreaking, they simply need to demonstrate clear water savings and practical benefits.

If your business is considering improvements that could reduce water consumption, this fund may help support delivery.
