🌦️Scottish Weather Strikes Again🤣

So we set off for Tillicoultry Primary School Sports Day, only for the weather to have other ideas and the event was cancelled☔ off to Sterling Warehouse we went for lunch and a little shopping although Cathie had her eye on a new sofa, so "little" might be stretching it 🛋️🤣

Met Amy and baby Millie who joined us for lunch... wee Millie absolutely stole the show 🥰👶 and then met the cutest French Bulldog before finishing off the day with a visit to see Caroline's best pal Linda just outside Stirling. Linda, it was lovely to finally meet you 😊

Sometimes the best days are the ones that don't quite go to plan 💙 !

🇬🇧Better Late Than Never... VE Day at Carrondale🇬🇧

Granted, these photos and videos have been sitting waiting patiently while we've been busy making memories, but they're far too good not to share!

Scottish weather may have stopped us having a street party outdoors, but it certainly didn't stop the fun. We simply brought everything inside and our residents had a brilliant afternoon enjoying the food, music and of course best company.

A massive thank you to our amazing kitchen team who worked incredibly hard behind the scenes... as always you did us proud ❤

🌟🎭Larbert High School - You Did Everyone Proud🎭🌟

Wow... where do we even begin?

Having worked closely with our friends at Larbert High School over the years, our residents and staff were delighted to be invited along to their Live and Loud performance last night... and what a night it was!

With front row seats, we were treated to an evening of fantastic entertainment featuring performances from Legally Blonde, Billy Elliot and Mamma Mia! The talent, confidence and enthusiasm shown by the pupils was incredible and a real credit to everyone involved.

And then, just when we thought the evening couldn't get any better, who should we spot in the audience but our very own Maggie 🤣

A huge well done to everyone involved, from the pupils on stage to the teachers, technicians and everyone involved working behind the scenes. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Thank you for giving our residents and staff such an amazing evening and for reminding us just how much talent we have right here in our local community

🎂🎉Happy 99th Birthday, Alex🎉🎂

99 years young... and doesn't Alex look incredible ❤

What a privilege it was to celebrate such a special milestone with one of Carrondale's true gentlemen last week.

Alex celebrated his 99th birthday surrounded by family, friends, residents and staff, and what a day it was. Looking at these photographs, it's hard to believe he is 99 years old.

Anyone who knows Alex knows how much music, especially the bagpipes, mean to him. As a piper himself, seeing the smile on his face when the talented young pipers from Larbert High School arrived was simply priceless.

The atmosphere throughout the home was incredible. Watching Alex sit proudly listening to the pipes, sharing stories and memories with his family, was one of those moments that reminds us exactly why we do what we do. The music brought back so many happy memories and meant so much not only to Alex, but to his loved ones too.

A huge thank you to our amazing pipers from Larbert High School. You gave Alex a birthday he will never forget and created memories for all of us that will stay with us for a very long time ❤🎶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

🍓P.S. A special thank you to A&J Alloa Road Shop - Spar for the enormous strawberry cheesecake they kindly gifted for Alex's birthday. Unfortunately, it vanished so quickly that we never managed to get a photo! 🌃Strutting for Strathcarron Hospice❤

Larbert High School's annual Fashion Show in aid of Strathcarron Hospice, a cause very close our hearts, certainly didn't disappoint 💕

From the moment we arrived, we were entertained by the incredible talents of the pupils and staff. The musicians, singers, dancers and models put on a fantastic show creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the event 🎵👗

A huge thank you to everyone at Larbert High School for their warm welcome and for organising such a special event in support of Strathcarron Hospice. We had an amazing night and are already looking forward to the next one😉

Special thanks also to Three Little Pigs for the delicious two-course meal and to Candied Ice Cream Parlour for the lovely desserts that rounded off the evening perfectly 🍽️🍦 ! Mhairi McAinsh
