🏡 A VERY special garage conversion ❤️

This one is a little different from our usual projects, and one that means a great deal to us.

We’ve transformed a double garage into a beautiful double bedroom with a fully adapted en-suite wet room, incorporating specialised disabled access and bespoke adaptations throughout.

Every detail has been carefully considered to make the space as safe, comfortable and accessible as possible, including a high-tech, fully motorised toilet designed specifically to support the homeowner’s needs.

The aim wasn’t simply to create another room — it was to create a space that provides comfort, dignity and greater independence, while keeping the homeowner close to family. ❤️

From the access arrangements and wet room to the specialist bathroom facilities and bedroom itself, this project has been designed around the person who will be using it — because sometimes, the smallest details can make the biggest difference.

It’s projects like this that remind us why we love what we do. 🥰

More than just a garage conversion… a space designed to make life a little easier. ❤️

💚 £1,530 RAISED! 💚

We honestly don’t know where to start… THANK YOU! 🥹

When we signed up for the Macmillan Mighty Hike, our target was £500. We never imagined that, with the incredible generosity of our friends, family, colleagues and customers — along with the matched donations from Buildvale Ltd — we would end up raising a massive £1,530! 🙌💚

We are absolutely blown away by everyone who donated, shared our fundraising page, encouraged us along the way or simply wished us luck. Every single donation means so much to us.

Cancer is an awful disease that affects almost every family in some way — and sadly, ours too. 💚 We hope that the money we’ve raised will go even a little way towards helping Macmillan support those living with cancer and their families, and ultimately towards finding better treatments and, one day, a cure.

The hike itself was certainly a challenge (especially when we somehow managed to turn 26 miles into 29.1 miles! 🙈😂), but we absolutely loved every minute of it. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, met some amazing people and had the best day.

And despite the aching legs… we’re already saying we’ll definitely be signing up for more! 🥾😂

We have an even greater appreciation for Macmillan Cancer Support now, especially having seen first-hand just how important their work is.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so, so much. ❤️

£1,530. We couldn’t have done it without you. 💚🥾

💚 WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN! 💚

After taking on the Macmillan Mighty Hike before, we’ve decided to put ourselves through it all over again — this time tackling the Northumberland Mighty Hike! 🥾

Cancer is one of those awful words that touches almost every family in some way. Right now, someone very close to our hearts is facing an incredibly tough battle, so this one feels particularly important to us. 💚

We’re hoping to raise as much as we can for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping them be there for people and families when they need it most.

And we’re putting our money where our mouth is… Buildvale Ltd will MATCH every donation made to our fundraising page! 🙌

So whether it’s £5, £10 or whatever you can spare, it really will make twice the difference.

Thank you so much for your support — now we just need to remember why we thought doing another one was a good idea! 😂🥾💚

A very special week at Buildvale this week 👷🏻‍♂️💙

We had our nephew Ewan up from England joining the team for a week of work experience… and somehow he survived the early starts, the constant slagging, and the many MANY milkshake and donut stops 🍩🥤😅

From sweeping up, carrying materials, mixing mortar and learning the ropes on various sites (including being allowed to fire nail guns 🤣) — he got stuck right in and showed a brilliant attitude all week. Safe to say he’s earned himself a spot on the squad anytime 👏🏼

Great to spend the week together and show him what the family business is all about.

Old kitchen out… and what a difference 👀🔥

We’ve taken this space right back to basics and completely transformed it into a stunning open-plan kitchen/dining area 🤩

A load-bearing wall removed and replaced with a structural steel beam has opened everything up, creating one large, bright and sociable space – perfect for modern living 🙌

From start to finish, this one was fully handled by the team at Buildvale:
🔨 Full rip out
🏗️ Structural alterations with steel installation
💡 New electrics throughout
🚿 Plumbing works
🧱 Fresh plastering
🍽️ Installation of the customer’s brand new kitchen

The result? A seamless, spacious layout that completely changes how this home feels and functions ✨

🛋️✨ From Unused to Unbelievable designed by FK1 Design Ltd

This garage had one job… collect clutter.
Now? It’s a stylish chill-out room with large walk-in storage – practical and a bit of a show-off 😎

Completed locally at the Avanti site in Denny 📍

One of our favourite touches on this project 👇
We designed and built a bespoke feature, using acoustic panelling, to cleverly hide the electrics box – turning something awkward into something that actually adds to the room 🔥

Because at BUILDVALE Ltd, it’s not just about creating space… it’s about getting the details spot on 👍🏻

Big shoutout to:
