Our September sowings are paying dividends with brassicas galore 🥬 kale, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower all ready to plant out next week.

We’re picking lettuces with the best colours!

The veg trug has been cleared of tomatoes and now growing spinach, onions and radish, and we are still harvesting lots of chillies 🌶️🔥

Plus loads of late season flowers bringing colour to every corner 🌼

What a wonderful weekend we’ve had out on the Rochdale Canal, Failsworth, getting on the canoes, doing something fun and taking real action to clean our local waterways.

Over two days we covered more than 2.5 miles clearing rubbish, removing everything from cans and bottles to prams, chairs and even traffic cones as part of .

We’ve had so many people who were initially apprehensive about trying canoeing, but our brilliant instructors made everyone feel safe, supported and confident. Once they were out on the water, they absolutely loved it. These sessions have given people the chance to try paddle sports often for the first time 🛶

Huge thanks to Paddle UK and Sport England for funding these sessions and helping us protect our canal for wildlife and our community.
