Some of the finer details going into the paving on this project this week…..when finished this project will incorporate a whole range of contrasting paving surfaces all beautifully designed and structured to not only work together practically but also go hand in hand with the planting throughout the garden!

It’s unbelievably hot and unpleasant for the guys working in this heat and I am extremely grateful for their efforts and proud of their achievements on this which will be a spectacular project once finished!💪

In this instance we were in the village of Lympstone cutting extremely long grass in this large garden by first strimming, raking and then mowing to achieve a decent quality cut……

Today we began to lay the ‘entertain patio’ which will be the show piece of this garden created using this wonderful natural paving,honed and sawn sandstone slabs in Kandler grey. This paving with its smooth surface and modern contemporary look is the perfect compromise as it’s still a natural stone traditional material laid in a random pattern using four different sizes and with its timeless colouring will stand the test of time aesthetically and literally……watch this space for the finished area.😀

Superb!!!

Recycled concrete paving slabs serving a practical purpose once again for another 50 years or so if required…. Primed on the underside, laid on a full mortar bed in turn on a 100mm compacted type 1 sub base , just as they should be! Now onto the next phase of this project which WILL be on show !😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
