Life is about compromises but it’s very exciting to see how the farm is taking shape.

With everybody’s interest in different things it can be a juggling act on how we make it work, I do like how things have developed. I just wish I took the time to document it more.

We still have 5 mangalitsa weaners available.

Lesson 10 on my forwarder will be posted next week.

Expectation vs reality?

Achieved it.

Way beyond what I thought was possible.

I dare say it won’t be the last spectacular thing we will complete.

From that madness has lead us down a very funny path. What other bits of insanity is on the horizon?

We all love a good plan, until you have to be pulled off a mountain. We’ve been dealing with diseased larch on our current trip, the amazing thing is this will be heading to our sawmill site less than 1/2 a mile down the road.

The larch will be cut for post and rail fencing.

When did farming and forestry become so distant?

Whilst I’ve been up in Scotland it’s always amazed me how far we’ve come and how it keeps growing and developing.

Over the last 2 days we’ve been scouting an additional 180acres that will be allocated towards more forestry.

Feeling very blessed to be invited on this journey.

enabled us to conduct fruit warfare with the MOD using analog weapons.

Next week I’ll be uploading clips of the sexy climbing gear we’ve got.

Scotland has become a much bigger part of our story than we ever expect.

It started with a 5am phone call about some oversized timber and it’s turned into repeat trips north, a permanent demonstration site, ambitious milling and a growing network of people trying to make better use of timber around them.

This reel is only a small glimpse of what we’ve been upto.

We’re heading back!

If you’re wondering why has such a strong connection with Scotland, we’ve finally put out story into words.

Read what we’ve achieved so far here -

See you next week in Scotland.
