A cheap trim can become an expensive problem

It’s easy to look at two roof edge trims and assume there isn’t much between them. But the details matter once they’re fitted and exposed to British weather year after year.

QuickTrim has been around since 1999 and was designed specifically to make flat roof edge detailing quicker and more reliable.

It’s UV and weather resistant, won’t rust, uses purpose-made components and has solid corners with pre-installed foam rather than relying purely on clip-style corner details.

It’s also supplied fully fabricated with the pins and clips needed for installation.

When the weather gives you a window, you need the materials ready
October can be one of those months where you’re keeping one eye on the job and the other on the forecast.

So when you’ve got a good day to get a flat roof done, the last thing you need is to discover the membrane, adhesive or trim isn’t available.

We hold strong stocks of RubberCover, QuickTrim, QuickBond and the associated accessories here at Plytech.

Roof Edging Trim doesn’t have to be black

The edge detail makes a big difference to how the finished roof looks, particularly on extensions, garden rooms and more modern properties.

QuickTrim is available in Black, White and Anthracite Grey, so you can choose the finish that works best with the fascia, windows, doors or other exterior details on the property.

Whichever colour you choose, you’re still getting the same QuickTrim system, with ready-made lengths and components designed to make those roof edges quicker and simpler to finish.

October EPDM Training Dates 📅

Our next Approved Installer Training days are taking place on Tuesday 6th and Tuesday 20th October at our Exeter training centre.

These are hands-on courses, so you won’t spend the day just watching someone else work. You’ll get onto the training rigs yourself and work through RubberCover membrane, water and solvent-based adhesives, primers, seams, corners, upstands, drainage and pipe details, as well as fitting QuickTrim.

They’re ideal if you’re new to EPDM, adding rubber roofing to the services you offer, or already installing it but want to sharpen up your technique.

We’re thinking abandoned tools, mystery objects, plants growing where plants definitely shouldn’t be growing, questionable DIY repairs… or something that made you stop and wonder how on earth it got there.
