Lime Rendering in Dittisham

We recently had the pleasure of restoring this lovely 1790s home. The property had previously been covered with sand and cement, which was trapping moisture and causing damp problems. Which was carefully removed back to the original stone before applying a traditional lime render, using products from Mike Wye Sustainable Building & Decorating

Lime render allows the building to “breathe,” helping to prevent damp and keep the home in great condition for years to come.

The customer also requested a clean, traditional finish without angle beads, so we hand-shaped all the corners by eye — a detail that gave the home an authentic, characterful look.
