🏡📚 Installed and ready for readers!

I was delighted to receive these photos from Fawkham Parish Council showing their new community library in its new home.

Not only does the library look fantastic, but the parish council has built a beautiful timber stand for it that perfectly complements the design. It’s always rewarding to see a project finished, but even more so when it’s installed so thoughtfully and becomes part of the community.

Thank you to Fawkham Parish Council for sending the photos and for creating such a lovely setting for it. ❤️

Artist wanted for a community library project! 📚🎨

This library is ready to be decorated before installation. The artist originally lined up for the project has been delayed by a house move, so we’ve agreed I’ll look for someone else to help with this one while we save a future collaboration for another project.

📚✨Finished & ready for its new home!✨📚

After many hours of measuring, cutting, sanding, painting and assembling, this little community library is finally complete!

It’s been a really enjoyable project from start to finish, and I’m proud of how it’s turned out. The cottage-style roof, soft colours and plexiglass doors give it plenty of character, while hopefully standing up to plenty of use from the community.

Now we just need to deliver it all the way to Kent!

📚🏡 Another of our little libraries installed and ready for readers!

This beautiful library has just been installed at Leek Wootton Community Garden and is already filling up with books. We love how it sits alongside the bench, creating the perfect spot to browse, swap a book, and enjoy a quiet read.

A huge well done to Meera and Rohan, who raised the funds for the project through a sponsored walk – what an amazing achievement! 👏

Wishing the community lots of happy book swapping for years to come. 📖💚

📚 Little Library Build Update 📚

Another big step forward on the little library project!

The main structure is now complete and it’s really starting to take shape. The body has been assembled, painted, and the shelving fitted.

Next up:
🔨 Hanging the doors
🏠 Finishing the roof with feather board cladding

Once the roof is completed and the doors are fitted, it’ll be on to the final details before delivery so it can be filled with books for everyone to enjoy.

It’s been great seeing this project come together from a pile of materials. Looking forward to sharing the next update soon!

Visited this little library today and it made me so happy 💙📚

Beautifully decorated by local artist Chloe Farrant, it’s perfectly placed on the green outside Bettys Mead Park with a wonderful group of locals helping to look after it.

This spot means a lot to me personally too — I used to walk my dog Lady here nearly every day when she was young, so it holds many lovely memories, especially since losing her in October.
