A busy week on some monster trees all sadly condemned for safety reasons, taking these out safely using the mewp and GMT Equipment grapple saw made it a fairly straightforward process until loading the trunks up, serious weight in that Beech. Works also on the Avonmouth Bridge keeping the boys busy with re-setting kerbs on the span. Finished the week off with a cracking days sport in the field.

We had a big tree/hedge job on for one of the comms companies, they hadn’t realised a big willow had failed and was resting nicely on other trees below to drop at anytime onto the properties below, what was a straightforward job soon became a tricky removal as to chuck in the mix was a power cable directly below the fallen limb. A few calls and we had a 100t crane on site for the safe removal. BigFeller Eddie then in for a day to reduce the rest and that was another one in the bag. Groundworks pressing on nicely on our contract with the topsoil strip and formation dig well on. Another week has flown by with machines on demo at the APF Show, groundworks contracts kicking off, a trip to London village to clear access for some HV works on a sub station and more clearance works motoring on. 7 days straight through once again ensuring our clients and friends get the gold standard service every time. With the weather on our side seeding has been a priority now, finishing off a decent size conifer job and then the highlight a trip to The Goodwood Revival on Friday to enjoy the day of racing, can not recommend highly enough with all of the crew getting dolled up in the celebrations of 50/60’s nostalgia 🏎️🍾🚜🌲🌱

Another week has flown by, Saturday and Sunday shifting this weekend to ensure a straightforward week leading up to a cracking team outing planned for Friday. Despite the rising cost of fuel we have travelled the country keeping things moving for our clients, newt fencing, watercourse management, tree works and flailing. Blood sweat and beers this week, with the much needed rain reducing the fire risk the GM works were back in full swing, also clearing ditches and hedgerows for a local farm to allow new fencing to be erected. The new workshop also taking shape. A cracking 4 day week with the return of Jack ended in one too many on Friday evening!! Great week all round. Throughout the summer we’ve had the next generation where possible getting involved with as much as we can, letting them get stuck into new tasks and driving under supervision in the yard has given them a proper confidence boost and also a firm work ethic, the 5am alarm clocks and hot days were no issue and not once has any moaning been spoken. There were no missed days or “I’m not in today” phone calls which is far too common these days. So Max, George, Harris and Rosie be upstanding and thank you for your efforts, it’s been a pleasure, we will see you at half term! ❤️🚜🚛🌲

Coventry city limits were on the cards for this clearance to enable safe demolition of the flats, trees in the drop and exclusion zones needed removing before the demolition crew moved in. The power, control and duty of the Liebherr make this work exceptionally safe, controlled and disruption free. Thanks to Eddie as always and Neil for logistics plus Rofelo Forestry Limited for getting chipped up ahead of programme. Another one off the list and a happy client for facilitating the site requirements safely, ahead of schedule and leaving the site ready to knock.

Wrapping up on the PoW Bridge inspection of the abutments culverts and wing walls with the gang, keeping things on programme there is key due to the traffic implications involved. Cracking project safely delivered ahead of schedule. Also on service locations for a well known fast food chain, the water meter could not be found so we traced it and uncovered the hiding place.
