Photo dump from a recent Battersea office site visit, which is now very close to the finish line.

The majority of the finishes are complete, the glass partitions are in, most of the furniture is in place and the steelwork has been fitted to the cast concrete staircase.

A walkthrough of the finished space will be coming soon.

Not every design makes it to build, and a lot of them aren’t shown either.

This was one of three kitchen layouts developed for a barn conversion in Leatherhead. The client chose a different option as they preferred a hidden laundry door and second island, but we thought this one deserved to be shared as we really liked how it worked with the space.

A walkthrough of the canteen layout we’ve been developing.

The space is designed to flow properly, not just fit everything in.

→ central table keeps the room open and easy to move through
→ L-shaped kitchen wrapping the edges with clear zones for use
→ multiple access points so people aren’t stuck in one route
→ breakfast bar + additional seating layered in without blocking circulation

We also reworked the ceiling along the way. Originally exposed, but with M&E running through, it made more sense to reinstate the grid and bring in pendants over the island to anchor the space.

Two months on from our Sevenoaks survey, and the designs are taking shape 📐

Floor plans, sections, elevations and hand-drawn interior concepts for a rear extension and full interior remodel.

Architecture and interior design developed side by side from the start.

Our Battersea project has hit the moment where it has stopped feeling like a building site and is starting to feel like a new workplace.

The partitions are in. The glazing is fitted. The lighting is going up.

Still ahead: concrete sealing, flooring, decoration, and the furniture that will bring each area to life.

By this point in a commercial build all the layouts, joinery and finishes are locked in, and we've spent a long time figuring out how the space will work.
