This weeks work took me to

Ely for a new customer

Cambridge for an existing customer

Ely - voluntary work at 1st Ely scout Hut

1 - Ely

Repair to a Louvre door - joints re glues and clamped together , Louvres also glue near each top, btm and central rail - adjusted the hinges and mag catches so the door fitted correctly

2 - Cambridge

Door brush added to bottom of door

Roof skylite blind fitted

Broken tiles in toilet removed and replaced with smaller tiles and metal profile - will return next week to grout

3- 1St Ely Scout hut

five ceiling electric blinds fitted - think they are about 3.5-4m high - luckily I invested in a large ladder for stairwell
Work and was perfect for the job

Pizza oven station refurb

Pizza dome brushed down to remove flaking paint , peel stop and then masonary paint supplied by customer x 3 coats in white

Solid wooden work top scraped and sanded with 80grit and 120grit sand paper , then two coats of Osmo oil in medium oak

Base section painted with two coats of Grey paint

Hinges and k***s changed over to black hardware

Couple of tasks completed today in Ely for new and existing customers

1 - double bed central support rail , x4 legs and fixing brackets supplied and fitted to a pine bed

2 - re fixed a curtain pole back to the wall

3 - new gate mate lock replaced an older version

4 - new black gate bolts fixed to a bin store

Working in Beck Row for a new customer over the last two days with a variety of tasks

1- replace broken feather edge board on fence
2- add rubber stop to wall for a gate
3- fix solar light to wall
4- add rubber buffer to vent flap due to noise
5- squeaking noise on floor due to tile rubbing against the door frame - multi tooled the door frame at tile level and added additional screw to fix frame to wall - no squeaking
6- add magnetic door stop due to door slowly closing- was unable to adjust hinges enough to stop it closing
7- adj bathroom door and lock keeper due to the door locking bolt not engaging into the door frame
8- hung painting to cloakroom added picture hook fittings to the rear of the picture
9- hung 10 pictures in living room
10- add rubber stop to kitchen door
11- hung post box to wall - exterior and interior fixings mastic re to prevent water ingress
12- adjusted cabinet doors in cloak room ( did this when I quoted for the works )
13 - hung 3 large pictures to a bedroom wall

14 - hung 30 pictures to stairwell wall

15 - hung one picture to bedroom wall

16 - hung one large and heavy mirror to wall using Corefix 100mm screws and Bullfix heavy duty hooks

Slowly working through my contact list of people messaging me while I’ve been knee deep in my home refurb project , managed another free day today while waiting for some parts to arrive

Another project completed for a repeat customer

Custom made garden gate 1 metre wide using treated timber and treated T&G

Heavy duty adj hook and band hinges

Irontite - Gate bolts and Ring gate latch

One coat of grey paint ( will be returning to paint the gate and fencing in due course )

Previous gate was made from fence panel cut to suit the opening but kept on sagging due to not having and braces - (by the fence installer )
