Great to see the progress being made on site by Craig Allan Builders at this Turriff project 👏
This well-proportioned contemporary home has been carefully designed to maximise views across the surrounding rural landscape, while also supporting a strong work-life balance through the inclusion of a dedicated home office.
Looking forward to seeing the build continue to take shape over the coming weeks.
SM-AD were pleased to support the project through Local Authority approvals, preparation of construction drawings, and ongoing Architectural Supervision.

Many thanks to Craig Allan Builders for sharing images of this recently completed extension in Peterhead.

This modern home has been thoughtfully extended to enhance living space while minimising garden impact. SM-AD supported the project by coordinating Local Authority approvals and delivering construction drawings to keep progress running smoothly on site.

Delighted to see this proposed dwelling in Newburgh secure Planning Approval this week.
Set within a unique site already defined by mature landscaping, the design’s contemporary forms will make a considered and complementary addition to the idyllic coastal village.
Looking forward to progressing into the next stages of development.

It was great to visit and see the completed works on this project.
The design brief focused on future-proofing the existing property, overcoming the challenge of narrow hallways to create a more accessible and practical layout. Taking advantage of the prime corner location, two subtle extensions were carefully introduced to enhance both the living space and the outlook from within the home.
A standout feature is the vaulted ceiling within the family area, which creates a real sense of volume and openness. This space is beautifully enhanced by natural daylight pouring in through rooflights above, making it a bright and inviting hub of the home.
Externally, thoughtful design decisions around access, privacy, and low-maintenance features all come together to deliver a home that is both highly practical and visually appealing.
A great example of how considered design can transform a property.

Off on my travels for the day! A house survey, Client meeting to refine a sketch design and a progress check for a new-build - hope the weather is kind! 🤞🏻🌤️

Thanks again to Turriff Printing Services for the branded work gear! Should get me through the winter months and the forthcoming surveys! 🥶
Countdown to the Christmas break is on, but sure it’s OK to open some parcels early! 😊
