🚨🚨🚨 ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS FLUE!

I was called out to this back in January as the boiler had broken down. I attended, and quickly noticed the poor condition of the flue.

The flue also did not meet regulations as it was too close to the roof of a conservatory type extension.

Due to the age of the boiler, the repairs that where required to make it safe and get it working, and the fact it was a biasi boiler and the parts are difficult to get hold of, it was decided a new boiler was the best way forward!

We had to alter the flue externally so it met regulations. Unfortunately we didnt quite have the clearance needed to move the flue internally and this would of also raised the boiler considerably higher and made it difficult to access for the customer and future engineers.

I attended this, made it safe and installed the new year boiler in 3 days to minimise the disruption for the customer!

🔥🔥🔥 This is why its so important to get your boiler regularly checked, and sometimes not just a standard service is needed. Due to the age I carried out a full strip down service on this Worcester Ri. From memory I think its approx 16 years old, and needed a bit of TLC!

The old coke trick worked a treat on the stubborn heat ex baffles! Got them out and they where an absolute mess. We carried out the following:

✅️ Replace heat ex baffles
✅️ Replace air pressure switch tubing
✅️ Replace burner gasket
✅️ Replace electrodes
✅️ Replace bearing plate membrane
✅️ Clean condense trap
✅️ Clean heat exchanger
✅️ Carry out full combustion analysis

Boiler is now in tip top condition and is a lot cheaper than a replacment! Sometimes we can repair, instead of replacing!

🔥🔥🔥 Another combi conversion in Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port for a customer who's old conventional boiler had packed in just before christmas!

There was only one thing to do here, convert the system to a greenstar 4000 combi boiler with 10 years manufacturers parts and labour guarantee, giving the customer 10 years peace of mind. Cracking boiler this one. Considerably more efficent than the customers old system and with the benefit of mains pressure hot water 🛠

Full system power flushing with the proflush equipment ensuring good quality system water to keep the boiler healthy!

chemicals used and CP4 wireless programmable thermostat installed.
