Officers are reappealing for the assistance of the public to trace 38-year-old Ryann Ferguson who is missing from Elgin.
Ryann was last seen around 8am on Tuesday, 17 March, 2026. He was driving a black Renault Trafic van with the registration number SD75 DHN. The van was traced about 8.40pm on Wednesday, 18 March, in York Place, Cullen.
Officers have been carrying out searches and enquiries in the Cullen area since his vehicle was found, however, Ryann has not yet been traced.
He is described as white, 5ft 7ins and of slim build with brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a dark-coloured t-shirt, grey trousers, black boots, and he may be in possession of a dark rucksack.
Inspector Debbie Thomson said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ryann. Searches and enquiries are ongoing in the Cullen and Elgin areas to trace him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well.
"We are appealing to anyone who has seen Ryann since Tuesday morning to contact us. We urge Cullen residents to check their gardens and outbuildings in case he has taken shelter. We also ask local residents, especially those in the York Place and Seafield Road areas to please check any private CCTV or doorbell footage in case it has captured anything which could be relevant to our enquiry."
